I can detect Aunty's hand in the title of Cohen's latest film Borat: Cultural Leanings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan and in the script itself

That's the thing with message board bullies. They get their sights on someone (God knows how they choose) and dig in until Doomsday, finally boring the surrounding observers to death and sooner or later, even the prey him/her/itself.
Then the obscure analogies begin (he's run out of universalities), references so obtuse only Edith or Hedda might have clue as to what he's going on about.
At that point it becomes simply literary masturbation ( or as Capote once said of Kerouc's oevre: " ... that's not writing honey, that's typing ... " ). And who wants to watch that?!

You're spot on with that one hon. I actually don't think it's dawned on Beryl yet, but I couldn't give a fuck what he says or thinks about me. I mean who the hell is he anyway!? He's not my Mommy, or anybody I give a shit about, or even for that matter somebody who actually knows me! And I'm damn sure no-one else around here gives a shit about whet he has to say about me either! So go figure!

But I do believe that bullies, like bad children, should be deprived of their privileges until they begin to behave better. And in his case he should be banned from the Forum until he commits to the moderators' that he will behave in a civil and reasonable manner and will stop abusing the other posters' here.

It's been reported that creepy old Beryl, the boards resident bully, has been engaging in inappropriate acts of cyber violation on those who visit his blogs (bogs) that he has attempted to associate with my name. I have nothing to do with them, as I'm sure you know. He has being placing cookies onto visitors PC's, for what nefarious reason that dwells in this sicko's perverted mind one can only guess at. But be careful. He's clearly a nasty piece of work, and none to bright with it. Consequently, his intentions are likely to be dishonest and quite possibly harmful to your interests..

So be warned, don't visit his blogs!

If you don't log in but go to a Blog where the owner has set the access permissions to "Registered Users Only" you'll get a General Error - "You are not allowed to access this protected entry" message. This is, apparently, known as "placing a cookie on visitors' PCs" - or, if you are an illiterate (in every sense not just the computer) "placing a cookie on visitors PC's". Needless to say our resident "scientist" hasn't tested out this hypothesis, which raises questions about his undertstanding of basic scientific principle (no surprises there :cyclopsani: )

I tested it myself. cottman's right (or is that homintern?) You log out - you don't get the Blog. You log in, you get the Blog. What's this "null hypothesis" thing? A joke for scientists? Is cottman a scientist now? I thought he was a history teacher.

Absolutely not! A short stroll therein to banning the disagreeable, the stupid, the P-in-Correct, the twee, the pedophiles, the Hydra Heads, LMTU, and the Heddarists . . . . . all those such like whom make this Board a more rich and deepening experience.

Early on in my command of the Mobile Laundry (a post that did not carry an entitlement to what the Americans call a "Jeep", despite rumours to the contrary) I was given the sobriquet "Beryl". Apparently in the local town one of the battleaxes who ran the laundrette was named Beryl. The name has an honourable past; in particular it is a gemstone mentioned in the Bible, where the wheels of God's throne are described as having the appearance of gleaming beryl (Ezekiel 1:16). I think of myself more as God than his throne, but the association is obvious

It was also on tours of duty with the Mobile Laundry that my devotion to wearing plaid shirts began. Should you encounter a bald, fat, old cunt in a plaid shirt pottering about and fulfilling the White Man's Burden you can utter the greeting "The Essence of the All is the Godhead of the True". If that person replies "The Vision of Visions heals the blindness of sight" you know it's me and I'll buy you a drink - possibly a double. Or a treble
