January 23rd, 2006, 01:38
hi to all of you!!! I'm so happy because I've just found this gay forum in Thailand! I want to visit Thailand (Pattaya or Phuket, don't know yet) in July. I know it's not the best season (rainy period right?) but that's when I have my long holidays! I'd like to make friends here... who can give me some good advice... for cheap hotels, hot places for sex (like gay beaches), etc... my website is http://www.jeffsteedx.citegay.org
I'm attracted to smooth bottom young men 18 to 30... but of course would love to chat and maybe meet all other people!
Love to all of you from France!
Jeff

Hi Jeff.

This palce is worth a visit:

Monty's Pool Bar (http://www.gardencentre.com.au/beauzo/index.html)

It seems my post giving you MONTYS website was deleted?
After complaining to the moderater it seems he has come back and posted back the website to MONTYS?
How strange? Maybe not enough sponsorship?

You can recommend Monty's (or any other establishment in the Kingdom) all you want. Just please don't scare-off the newbies (or taunt my moderators).

Thanks. :glasses5:

There is no place on earth like Thailand, and that is particularly true for gay men travelling from western countries.

It all depends on what you are looking for, but I can tell you that Pattaya is not the most beautiful place in Thailand, and there is little in the way of cultural pursuits there, but it is my place of choice......

The commercial scene is incredible, with a great deal of variety, and the go go bars are quite an experience if you have never seen anything like them before. My first visit was a revelation, and I have been travelling back every year, sometimes twice a year, for the past eight years.

Now I have found the love of my life there, and I hope that he will come to visit me in London for a month in April this year.

Just relax and enjoy yourself. Do not become anxious, things are so very different in Thailand, and sometimes you can become confused and even feel angry at how inefficient things seem to our western eyes, but just never get angry, rather smile, relax and even laugh at your western reactions! Relax, smile, and when you cannot make sense of something or feel yourself start to get frustrated, then walk away.

The boys come in all shapes and sizes, many of them are straight in the commercial bars, and that can make for some interesting encounters, but there are many gay boys around too! ("Boys" by the way is a term applied to all the young men working on the scene, aged 18 - 45 or more!!!).

Just be sensible, know your own limits, but most of all enjoy yourself!! You will feel like a small boy in a sweet shop!!!

Please let us know how your first trip goes?

Hi Jeoff and welcome to Sawatdee Forum.
There's loads of information out there on the web. I'm guessing that if you've managed to find this site, then you've already found a few other sites. These two are a good start, and if you look to the left of the "forum index page" under "our friends" there are links to other good sites.

Once, you've had a chance to do a little research, do get back to us with any specific questions.
