Welcome Plaza

I have stayed at Welcome Plaza on two or three occasions but that was a while back (once when Cobra Gold was on - yummy) . Can anyone update me? What are they like with joiners. For me the attraction is the room rate (quoted 770 baht for November) and the pool and proximity to Boyztown.

This used to be my favourite hotel for many years until a couple of years ago when they started charging 300Bt joiner fees. Never been back since!

Haven't stayed there for a while. it is virtually across road from Boyztown. Although it is ok for the price you are paying, I don't go their so much as I feel like the "poor relative" if I tell people I am staying there - it is fine - rooms etc fine although a bit dated and need of a refurb. Have not had or rather did not have problem with joiners fees - if you book a double room, as I understand it - this should reduce their requirement to charge a joiners fee.
