Does any one know the rate that thai banks charge for cashing overseas travellers checks.

If you mean the exchange rates, they are usually a few points better than the corresponding rate for banknotes of the same denomination. If yuo mean charges, there is a standard charge of (i think) 30baht for each cheque - meaning the bigger denomination the cheaper it becomes.

If you are changing sterling travellers cheques don't bring anything under ┬г100 denomination - certainly not ┬г20 as these attract an additional premium for cashing, in addition to the standard fee - Why? don't ask me.
