I think your tip is adequate for a non-sexual massage, but I imagine that the workers there often receive higher tips from clueles tourists.

Are you talking about the massage @ Babylon Sauna? I believe it cost a lot more than 300 baht (Thai massage, non-sexual).

Yes Bablyon Sauna....Ok so maybe my memory fails me but I do not think a Thai Massage for an hour is over 350 baht.( 6 monts ago) Oil Scrub etc are much more expensive

If the massage was only 350 baht then 100 baht tip is OK........The massages i received from babylon were of excellent quality......and more in the 800 to 1000 baht variety...and I tipped several hundred baht and had no complaints....but each massage is different and I tip based on quality of service for each massage.....!! And they say there are no sexual massage at Babylon....? this may be true for most ..but not for me....!! I will not go into deatil as I dont want anyone to get in trouble...!!

Saunas are not really my scene - too shy. However, Babylon is a must and if you beg they will give you a towelling robe to cover the ripples. I went for massage there and one guy shouted "In Babylon we are not allowed to give hand jobs but we have lips!". Was he joking - sadly yes.

The masseur were very fit and attractive and gave a vigorous massage laughing merrily and saying "solly solly" as my friend and I screamed in agony. They were excellent masseurs trained at Wat Po. The price seemed a snip in a luxe place like Babylon. Having left money in the locker I told my guy I would leave a tip for him at the desk. When I got there the reception told me that he had been three times to see if there was a tip yet. I can't remember how much I left maybe 150 baht.

I do not understand why one wants a sexual massage at Bablyon. I have a proper Thai massage partially to break the cycle of sexual contacts down stairs

Babylon is not always crowded....it just depends on when you go........often I would go to babylon when not so crowded just because the quality of the massage is so excellent in my experience anyways.........The Thai boy let me touch him while giving the massage.....and whilst always on the lookout for to make sure mgmt did not see...the sexual tension was unbeleivable......and very memorable experience. The massages there are worth every baht.....but as always .....it does vary from one boy to the next.......!! Highly recomended

I love the oil massage at Babylon. I like that I can get a massage there and not have to fend off sexual action. Once or twice they have done cheeky things but nothing sexual.

Can anyone tell the difference between the regular oil massages and the "Babylon blend" massage?

I usually tip 100 bh for the 350 bh Thai massage... more if he is good. Its true that sex is not de rigeur in that place but can anyone blame you if you want to finish a lovely hour with a nice thai guy and a "happy ending"? :)

To answer some of the questions,
A "blend" massage is excellent, they start of with the traditional Thai massage and finish with an oil massage, you need 90min and it costs 500baht.
Tipping is up you. A couple of hundred is fine unless the massage was exceptional. I have tipped up to 100US$, but this is not usual. I had used the same guy for 4yrs and he was exceptionaly gifted, unfortunately he suddenly left the Babylon without a forwarding address, I believe he has become a monk, or a driver, depending on who you believe, but I suspect he has gone over to the competition*. I have also not tipped at all, for an exceptionally bad attempt at a Thai massage, this can be both uncomfortable and dangerous. To get a feel of what you should expect go to a temple for a proper Thai massage at least once. As a tourist it is also a nice atmosphere in which to have one.

The masseurs at the Babylon wait at the bottom of the stairs adjacent to the lockers leading to the massage area afterwards for their tip. The massages are all non sexual, and there is no privacy, but titillation is the order of the day, especially during the straight oil massage. The older masseurs are the best. Generally I find the taller well built ones with big hands amd limbs are more in control. *Recently though I have noticed quite a few have left, especialy the better ones, and I havn't really been that satisfied with the massage. There is no longer a Mamasam. In fact you could almost think there had been a change of ownership at the Babylon because so many of the staff have been changed. Even Baan has been gone a year or so.

If the massage is good I usually have an erection at the end, without it being touched, the boys find this fascinating for some reason, and when I open my eyes there are usually a gaggle of them sitting at my feet admiring my cock with its swollen head uncovered on a pulsating fat shaft. I have gone there several times. Currently there is only one guy working there, Mr. Luka, so often the door is locked if he is upstairs with a customer. You can call in advance and book 07 093 2637. The tables and decor are nice. Luka does a decent oil massage but more of a relaxing event than strong manipulation but he knows what he is doing. There's no happy ending, or at least with me there has never been, he is not that much of a looker, he is gay, and is a nice guy.

For a stronger oil massage go to Saladaeng Massage, 20/4 Saladang. You get to pick man or lady but not the specific person, so quality varies. They go for a happy ending, if you want.
