BOT Governor to become new PM

Bank of Thailand Governor reportedly accepted to become the Prime Minister

Bank of Thailand Governor MR Pridayadhorn Devakula cut short his trip to attend the International Monetary Fund/World Bank meeting in Singapore and he will arrive Bangkok at noontime. He said he agreed to accept to become Prime Minister. Nonetheless, it was expected that there would be a press conference at the Arm Force auditorium Wednesday.

I hope that Mr Purachai will be invited back and appointed as Interior Minister again. He did lots of good things for the Thai people although some of the things he did upset some sex-tourists.

Unfortunately the Bank of Thailand Governor is in denial, saying non one has approached him to offer him the job of PM yet. Is this wishful thinking on the part of The Nation newspaper?

Generally I am a fan of democracy but there really ought to be some catch clauses, so that a PM may stand trial for example, because not everyone has such an adoring King as Thailand who can come to the rescue, and at such short notice. Just think we could be without Bush and any number of other democratically elected idiots and criminals. Democracy is not, is certainly not without flaws. Just look at the French president for example or the ex-Italian PM. Surely being PM does not get you, or in Americas case, buy you, immunity from prosecution, is the world nuts?
