I have been watching several times already how long it takes between Don Muang and the exit to the new airport on the way to Jomtien or vice versa. Typically it takes half an hour, which means that it will shorten your journey by about 25 minutes supposing you have a car to pick you up. If you have to go to the taxi stand it will take some more time since no taxis are allowed at the airport building, you have to take a shuttle bus to the taxi stand. Such a process will take at least 15 extra minutes, I would suppose.
