Hi everyone,

I'm planning my first Thailand trip (flying out in 3 days). I want to spend a week in Pattaya once I've seen Bangkok.

Where should I stay in 2023 Pattaya? I'm interested in both massage and gogo; my preferred 'type' are twinks able to bottom (if that makes any difference).

I saw shameless mack's post from 6 months ago and he said Sunee is completely dead and Boyztown is doing best. Can other people confirm this, or has the situation changed?

I'm currently leaning towards Boyztown if Sunee is dead and Jomtien doesn't have any gogos

In my recent experience, Jomtien brimming with boys and customers (but of little use to me, I prefer gogo bars), Boyztown just gets by (but boys wear too much clothes), and Sunee has Nice Boys and Winner Boys open and boys in underwear on stage. That's were I take all my gogo bar business. I haven't been to any gogo bar other than Nice and Winner since Covid.

Sunee has two gogos and two or three other bars. Hardly any customers. No massage places. All very depressing.

Boyztown has 5 gogos and 4 or 5 other bars. It has two massage places.

Jomtien has no gogos but at the last count 35 bars, all with boys. It also has 3 or 4 massage places which have many boys. The complex is usually stuffed with customers and available boys. Drinks are just about 1/2 to 1/3 the price of BT gogos (depending on which Gogo bar you are in)

When I’m in Pattaya I frequently off boys from gogos in BT and Sunee, usually LT.
Getting back to the Jomtien Complex, where I stay usually involves a motor bike taxi, for a quick 10 minute blast through the traffic. Since I like slim twinks, 3 up on the bike is no problem and costs about 150 baht. This is much better than taking a baht bus, particularly from Sunee. On arrival at the Complex I normally sit in one of the bars having a drink with the boy, before going to the hotel. The bar that I think London68 is referring to is probably the one that was opened by the notorious and infamous "Monty". And yes, this was back around 15-16 years ago (rough guess).

Monty, using all the abstract and daring creativity he was famous for, opened the bar (across from where Home Bar sits now) as a combination host bar/ cabaret/gogo. He had a small stage set up in the rear of the bar for small cabaret shows, many of which he starred in himself when he was drunk (just too funny), and another small stage set up in the middle of the bar which was occupied by a small number of gogo dancers (usually between 3 - 6).

The boys on staff were either the slim twink- types, or the freelance boy-next-door types with a variety of sexual identities. They would commonly start off dancing in their undies - and graduated to being totally naked as the night wore on and the tips started flowing.

I'll never forget my first visit to Monty's new bar - for as long as I live:

For those old history buffs out there, Monty owned and/or managed many businesses in-and-around the gay scenes, including the original "Two Guys Guest House" (Soi Yensabai), as well as very first boy bar in Sunee Plaza which sat right next to the old Marina Inn (adjacent from the pioneering "Amigo Pub"). Later, after closing his boy bar, he leased the Marina Inn swimming pool and immediately started advertising "FREE SWIMMING" to any and all boys in town as long as they swam nude. I can't begin to describe how much fun the afternoons were in Sunee during Monty's rule.

It was after Monty's lease ran out at the Marina Pool (along with other complications) that he opened his first bar in Jomtien Complex. The first being a gogo bar which sat right next to the old Two Faces which only lasted a few months because of health reasons - and then onto his next bar...which would be he last... which is the one being described here

I had stay in Agate week ago directly in Complex. Without Chinese groups it is very cheap while still is European 4-stars hotel. I loved Dodger's post.... and it reminded me of another reason why the commercial scene of twenty-plus years ago was so much better, at least for me, than what came later.

It was always my policy to avoid guys who couldn't communicate with me, however cute. Offing for me, was always more than the sex; at their best , I was given many evenings of delight in which the sex was central but not the only pleasure.
