but don't get too excited - it may take only 3 minutes to complete the online form, but then it will take up to a week to get approval, then you still have to go to the Immigration office to get the stamp in your passport, and it will cost you an extra 500 Baht for the privilege!

and, surprise surprise, it is not available for annual retirement extensions!

still, it is being done by a third party so at least some parts of the system may work

Looking at the title of this post I interpreted it as meaning; "A new app has been developed that takes only 3 minutes - which would be a first for Thailand.

Actually, introducing a new app that works at all would be one for the record books.

Time will tell.
