I was able to meet a guy I contacted on Twitter during my trip in BKK this August.
He has also an OF but has posted only few videos in there and doesn't see it as a source of income. We exchanged line accounts and decided a day and hour to meet. spent a few hours together. He didn't ask film and I'm sure if I wanted to I could have filmed him. I just don't like holding a cellphone while doing it.

I texted around 8-9 guys on Twitter 1.5 weeks before heading to BKK. A few didn't respond at all, around 2-3 responded first but then stopped when I sent my pics, 2-3 others responded with their pics and were older than I imagined and I wasn't much into their face.

It's still the first time I meet someone by first talking with him on Twitter. I actually have had sex with two guys that are now quite popular on OF in BKK, but that was around 4 years ago. I'm sure now they even wouldn't reply to me or if they agreed to meet, they would ask to film and publish it online.
I still don't think it's a substitute for Grindr and Hornet. Even the guy I met, I saw him later on Grindr, so we probably would still end up meeting even I had not texted him on Twitter.

I messaged several on twitter, but no or slow reply. My explanation is "sensory overload", the boys get so many messages that they reply only from time to time, and when we chat, it's like with an Alzheimer with lucid moments every now and then.

yes, thats been my experience too, lots seem more interested in making money by attarcting subscribers to their porn channel....or hooking up with others to do make new material for their channels...I have had a few very satisfying encounters and to date all have beenn as good as their online personas....but its damn hard work...
