Read all about the Tourist Authority's latest attempt at creating a false positive image of Pattaya to potential tourists.
It would be great if the entertainment venues were allowed to reopen, but who does TAT think they're fooling? They have ZERO authority when it comes to this, and no one (with any sense) will pay any heed to this latest song & dance routine...with the exception of course of tourists who could potentially fall for this baiting tactic. When the PM and his CCSA announce something like this that's different (sometimes)...but until then tourists should avoid taking the bait.
Anyone following the covid updates already knows that Pattaya numbers are intentionally masked from public view. Reported cases of covid in Pattaya (which in reality are the highest in Chonburi Province) are cleverly slid into the Banglamung basket as to not alarm potential tourists. Tourists rely on honest and accurate reporting during this pandemic - where deceptive reporting could become life-threatening.
