Arthur and Paul A&P Gay Resort in Phnom Penh?

Has anyone stayed at this gay resort? Any reviews of the place? it is worth staying at when in PP? I heard it's the only exclusively gay resort in town.


I heard of another gay friendly hotel called the Rambutan. Any reviews of this place?

Plenty of reviews on TripAdvisor and via Google, obviously pre-pandemic. I see it advertises itself as a gay resort - this is usually code for “rip-off” in my experience. The advice that it’s “clothing optional” is a warning that you’ll see lots of middle aged and elderly white guys with man boobs striding proudly around

I have stayed there twice and enjoyed it. Pool area is lovely. I found the price to be ok, and the place was very clean and stylish.
Ended up chatting with one of the guys working there and he has become my best friend in PP!

The Okay Boutique looks very impressive although it seems a bit big to be called "boutique."

I don't like all the dark wood throughout the hotel - I prefer dark wood of another kind!

I would stay at Rambutan next door. Gay owned by Dutch Expat. No issues with taking guests to room. A&P is right next door. I have never stayed at A&P but go there for massages, dinner, and drinks. All were good. Last visit was two years ago when Cambodia had closed its borders to tourist but A&P was still open but quite empty. Nice pool, nice bar, nice restaurant. I do not like the stairs to the rooms but again I usually stay next door at Rambutan.

OK....This hotel offers massage service...I need details please...good??? Same as in BKK?? Of course the endings?? Also the hotel looks nice but on the pricy side they show USD$88 per night.....Tks..I have never been to Cambodia.

Again my information is dated but I have visited A&P several times over the years while staying at Rambutan next door. I also stay at Rambutan in Siem Reap which is the same owners. I had some very good times in the A&P massage room but I did note that most of the boys were a bit older at least for me as I like the young and pretty guys. I was always able to find one and they were very cooperative. I quick check on Rambutan shows $60 and A&P $120 so for me it is more economical to stay at Rambutan and then go next door if I want the A&P features. These are the only hotels I am familiar with so I can not offer much help with other selections.

I just pulled up the Rambutan hotel web.....very nice looking...and not expensive,,,and Massage room with I assume good endings...Any idea cost of massage and about what tip is fine??? Tks..

HI: Did you ever get massage at the Rambutan as web shows spa rooms? If so,,maybe how much tip to the guy and do they give the of course happy ending?? Am sure they do at A&P.....Thanks..

Rambutan massage is usually no happy ending but things could have always changed. I always went to A&P next door. I can not say what the current prices are or proper tips as I have been gone for over a year. Rent boys on Grindr were about $30-$50 so maybe that would give you an idea. Again things may have changed since I was there in 2020.

I entertained a few money boys during my year 2021 in Cambodia, and found the following prices: some greedy will ask for 30-50 USD, I wouldn't even answer on such numbers. Everyone within reason I could have for 20 USD (coming to my room; for happy ending massage they quoted the same number, based on one encounter), and for 10 USD half would decline (based on about 10 cases).
