I got few questions in PM box, so is better to write here

guys, I have no idea what's going on... looks like GT (now GayGuides) has technical problems and forum is down about 24 hours already, but since I have no contacts with current owners of GT, I have no any insides, I see the same picture as you may see "upgrade is in progress"... looks like they do some upgrade.

I've been trying for days to change my password as I forgot the old one.

Numerous emails asking for the link to reset the password have gone unanswered.

I've no idea what's going on over there. I just hope they send the link soon - they have my email address so shouldn't be too hard.

I just tried it there to double check it for you and it's working fine, I'd my auto reply email back within 30 seconds. Are you sure you're using the same email address as you used when you set up your password and that that ( probably old now) address is still one that you actually lift and open on your computer ? I know that sounds like an bit of an "OF COURSE I am" question but I've made the same mistake myself on sites I've been on for many years.

I have 3 email addresses and used the one I registered with first. I got a message to change my password but when I clicked on it nothing happened. So I tried the other 2.

Out of frustration I re-registered with a new password. They sent me this:

"Hi A-447A,
Thanks for registering. Click the button below to validate your account and get started.

Validate my Email address"

I clicked on it but nothing happened.

I have received messages at all 3 email addresses but nothing happens when I click on the link they send.

Maybe I need to create a 4th email address!

This is getting ridiculous. And because I'm not a member I have no way to PM their administrator.

I had a similar problem in November 2020. The login and password reset would not work.
Clearing cookies and trying to logon using Windows, Android & Linux devices also did not work.

After a few e-mails, it was fixed.

To state the obvious, culling members randomly would not help membership numbers.

I have to use Safari for GayGuides. My Firefox I messed up with add ons.

Have you confirmed that with a successful login on another browser ?

When I had the problem, neither Firefox nor Chrome worked, on various different devices. I probably tried Opera as well.

After they fixed it, everything works, including Firefox.

Yes, the problem may well be on their side. I think it's a software issue.

I logged on with the password gayguides sent me, using my Samsung phone. And it worked!

I then opened the site on my ipad and was able to sign in.

Do what I did and log in from another device first - in my case, my mobile phone. Once I logged in there I went to my ipad and was able to log in.

I finally managed to get my account on gayguides (former gaythailand) back. Emailing with administration last year, and another attempt recently, was fruitless. Even though I DID NOT FORGET MY PASSWORD, I went that way (set a new password), and after two years of absence can now post and read members-only forum.
