These are your options:

Test & Go: The hotel where you stay while you wait for your test results. Usually 6 to 24 hours.

SQ Hotels: That is for a 7, 10 or 14-day quarantine.

Sandbox: You have to book this for a minimum of 7 days.

So for the dumbfounded; SHA is now labelled Test&GO? Is that to make it all even more easy and less confusing?

I would imagine so - but apparently it didn't work.

Having your first night in a ‘Test and Go’ hotel in the heart of Jomtien Complex sounds like an excellent location for those whose first port of call is Pattaya. With this in mind I thought the following message on the Friends of the Venue cabaret show facebook page was worth sharing on this thread:

Following us being awarded SHA certification recently we are delighted to announce that we have now been awarded SHA Plus+ certification.

This means that if you are required to have your first night in the 'Test and Go' or 7 nights of the 'Sandbox' program, you can stay with us at The Venue.

We actually gained this certification a few days ago and are still working out the final details and hospital partner confirmation but are too excited to keep it to ourselves any longer!

What it means is that if you book with us we arrange SHA Plus+ transport to pick you up at the airport, it then takes you to our partner hospital near Jomtien where you have the RT-PCR test then the same transport brings you to The Venue.

You stay at The Venue for your first, or seven nights, depending on the program, and when your negative RT-PCR test result is received by us you can then move around to any of the 'Blue zone provinces.

If you are staying as part of the 7 night 'Sandbox' program you can travel within any 'Blue zone' but must return to The Venue every night.

We are awaiting the hospital to confirm the contract but hope to have final details available within the next few days. When full details are known we will post them on our Social media channels.

Can you just imagine it?
You have flown half way around the world, been picked up at the airport, transported directly into the centre of the last remaining gay paradise with bars full of happy smiling boys, and immediately frog marched past them to a locked dark room, with no escape for 24 hours.
Welcome to Thailand!
