Yes very sad. There would normally be a small influx of tourists, who usually arrive in July and August, but not this year. Also the height of the low season approaches, so there will be no changes yet.

Nothing will happen until the high season which usually begins in November.

The success of that depends on only two things:

1. No quarantine, and far more importantly,
2. Bars and entertainment all open.

It’s not rocket science.

Agreed. For high volume tourism, they need no quarantine. They might get some tourists with sandbox schemes, if local entertainment is allowed to open.
Also if Thailand is going to rely on vaccines to open up the whole country, there is quite some way to go.
