According to a recent MIT Study, staying 6 feet apart indoors does almost nothing to stop the spread of COVID-19.

The study said mask-wearing, ventilation, and what a space is used for were bigger variables that needed to be controlled.

Nothing earth-shattering here - but some useful tips.

oh for heavens sake...was this written for americans...how stoooopid can one be...the most critical measure is to stop transmission...this occurs due to contact with liquid...yes spit...like sneezing...talking...even breathing...fine droplets are expelled...so wearing a mask is the best measure...it stops liquid leaving your face through your nose and mouth....wearing a mask does little to protect YOU from other maskless people as liquid can still infect you via your eyes or even settle on a surface which you touch ....but if everyone wore a mask then no liquid is expelled and no transmision would take place...combine this with sanitising your hands...not with the silly alcohol based gels but with the type that lasts hours and remains effective even if you wash your hands..I only apply ot 4 times a day...easy...if the whole planet did this for two weeks the whiole thing would be over...but noooooo instead we have karens screechiung that masks are the work of the devil...

One of the problems is that so many people are like sheep.

They can't seem to avoid the impulse to gather in flocks... cheering for their team in huddled masses, and congregating at events that don't need congregations, when they know full-well that this is dangerous territory right now.

People just seem to have this inherent need to be close to other people, and even when faced with a situation where not separating themselves from other people could cost them their lives, they simply don't have the capacity to do this. It's as if they need to be seen and heard by others to legitimize their existence.

All the thousands of reports, news releases, statistical trend analysis, and expert presentations that we've seen over the past 15 months telling people what they need to do to stay safe, and my boyfriend, who was born and raised in a fucking jungle, summed it up in one sentence back when this pandemic first started: "We need to stay away from people until it is gone.". Go figure!

There is a scientific basis for this, because when you are in a large group in a confined space your body will release all kinds of hormones that result in disinhibition as the sensory points(touch, aural, visual, smell and a huge dose of imagination) bring on the euphoria and sexual ecstacy. The religious significance of the event is just an excuse...
