This a trip report of my visit to Taiwan in October 2018. This was my first gaycation.

I planned this holiday around 2 months ahead. I was recently out of a long-term relationship. I used Gay Romeo and Grindr to connect with locals before arriving. I arranged my trip around Taipei Pride (26 Oct 2018).

Saturday 20
I landed in Taipei around 11 am. I took the MRT Airport line; its terminal station is Taipei Main Station. I then walked to the blue line because my hotel was in Ximending. This is a big mistake if you are going to Ximending; it's a long walk between the Airport Line and the Blue Line. What I should have done is to get off at Beimen station of the Green Line.

I had talked with someone to meet at 4 pm. Let's call him Guy A. He met me outside my hotel and showed me around Ximen. While we were walking I saw a snack that I wanted to try and asked him to order it for me and he paid for it. At that time I found it very weird (why would he pay for someone he just met?) but later on I'd learn that's kind of common for Taiwanese when they like someone. I told him I wanted to see the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial hall and he told me to go to my hotel room first because he wanted to pee. What he actually wanted was to get fucked; he was acting very cute asking me to take a nap for 15 min. Since we laid on the bed, he started touching my dick. I pulled it off and he started sucking it like eagerly. I asked him to get naked and sit on it; he asked if I had lube and I said saliva was enough. He obeyed rapidly and sat on it without asking for a condom. He was so fucking tight. I haven't masturbated for a week and I came very quickly in 10-15 min. He also came right away.

He wanted to really take a nap after the fuck, but I told him I really wanted to go to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial. He took me there with his scooter, and stayed with me for a couple of hours, but he had to go to work at Bar Davila that night. He offered to take me back to my hotel, but I said I wanted to finish seeing the monument. Then, I contacted another guy I chatted with before arriving, and we agreed to meet at 8 pm in Ximending (let's call him Guy B).

Guy B arrived on time and he took me to Ningxia Night Market. Shilin night market is the most popular night market in Taipei, but he recommended Ningxia because Shilin has too many tourists. Ningxia was also packed with tourists; it was so packed and queues were common in many stands. But nevertheless, the food was very good. I asked him if he wants to go to my hotel and he said yes but only for cuddles. That's another thing I'd realize very common for Taiwanese: they pretend they don't hookup. We started cuddling and then he began sucking me and he kept repeating how big my dick was. He was very impressed by its size. I slid into him just using saliva and he mourned like a little girl; he was also very tight. I told him I was about to cum and he said "please, come outside of me", but I hold him tight and kissed him, and he kissed me back passionately. When he felt my cock throbbing inside, he mourned of pleasure and cummed handsfree. That's another thing I'd realize later too: many Taiwanese experience jizzjoy. He kept hugging me for another 5-10 minutes with me still inside him, then he asked if I'm negative because this is the first time someone who is not his boyfriend cum inside him. Of course, I didn't believe it, but it would be something many Taiwanese would tell me. I told him I'm on PrEP. He then went to the bathroom and I followed him. He sat on the toilet and I asked him what was he doing. He replied that he needed to push out my cum. I told him that he should keep my babies inside the whole night. We agreed to meet again the next day.

Sunday 21
I had agreed to meet another guy (Guy C) whom I talked to before coming to Taipei. Unlike the other guys, Guy C was straightforward since chatting and told me he wanted to have my babies. He came to my hotel around 9 am. After fucking, he took me to have breakfast at a traditional Taiwanese breakfast shop. There I tried Dan Bing and I loved them; so delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone. After breakfast, he took me to Longshan Temple and explained some of the beliefs, including how jiaobei (moon blocks) are used to ask questions to the gods. Given that I had already agreed to meet Guy B again, we said goodbye around noon.

Guy B took me to Tamsui town in the north of Taipei. We walked along the river and tried many foods on the Old Street. For seeing the sunset, we went to the Elephant Mount in Taipei, but we arrived after the sunset had passed. Nevertheless, the view of Taipei from that mountain is beautiful. For dinner, we went back to Ximen, and while we were walking back to the hotel, Guy B told me how much he enjoyed keeping my cum inside, and he could feel my babies in him during the night. I don't know if that was bullshit, but it turned me on so much. We took a shower and brushed our teeth at the hotel, and fucked for almost an hour. I get hard every time that I remember his tight ass and his eagerness to please me.

15-20 min after cumming in him, he asked if I can get hard again because he wants to swallow my cum. I thought what the fuck, how he's not tired. I told him I was too tired to go another round. But as a good cumslut, he started playing with my cock very delicately, giving it kisses, sucking very softly. It took long, but he was able to get me hard again. I was just laying on the bed and he did all the work, but he was able to make cum again. He showed me all my cum in his mouth and didn't swallow it until I ordered him to do so. He's a good boy.

Next day I had booked a guided trip around the island (to be continued.)

While waiting for @pasiotop's next post, I echo his comments re Taipei. Finding cute, fit young guys for both companionship and sex is not at all difficult. Money boys are rare. Most guys are just looking for foreigners if only because there are not many foreigners working in the city. Those that are are often already paired off with Taiwan partners. If I meet someone from the apps, I will usually offer to pay for public transport (it's cheap and gets you almost everywhere). I prefer to meet up in a coffee shop rather than directly in my hotel and so I will pay for coffee. If it's just a meeting for sex, again I'll offer to pay for transport, but it is rarely accepted.

I did a round a 5-day, 4-night round the island trip almost 4 years ago. It was not cheap but then I had chosen one that offered 5-star hotels at all the stops. Being accustomed only to Taipei, I was amazed at the island's variety. The first stop was at Sun Moon lake. The hotel there had a mini hot spring in each room. Getting up early in the morning, I raised the blind, got into my hot spring bath and watched dawn break over the lake. Amazing! Kaohsiung was the second stop but it was the area south of Kaohsiung that fascinated me. Tropical with great beaches and clear blue sea that make those off Pattaya and Phuket seem like a dirty bath. We then backtracked and crossed the island to Taitung, the one stop that I found of less interest. Then it was up the coast to the quite stunning Taroko Gorge. We drove almost all the way up the narrow gorge and stayed in a wonderful hotel near the top. Returning to Taipei, we had to go north again up the east coast whichi boasts a scenery not unsimilar to part of Hawaii. The guide was great. All in all I felt the trip was well worth the money.

There was no time on that trip to make assignations. But on my return to Taipei it was busy, busy, busy. So many lovely boys!

I will not post photos here as @pasiontop may be posting his own. If not, I'll post a few days later.

it's a great country for sure. Hopefully it lives on for a long time. Winnie the Pooh seems to be really spoiling for a fight though.

There is a lot of natural beauty and as you say the transportation system is amazing. I was there for Pride 2019 (after spending 10 days or so in S Korea) and spent several days in Taipei and then took the train down to Kaohsiung for several days. Sadly I caught a cold while I was in Taipei which really slowed me down. My first couple of visits to Taiwan I arranged trips with an expat American guy who is a freelance photographer since photography was my main interest. The first trip was a drive down the east coast from Keelung to Taroko/Hualien. The second time we did more central places like Sun Moon Lake and some earthquake stuff and then some time in Lukang which was quite interesting - hand-stretched noodle makers, interesting temples.

I took the HSR down to Tainan on one trip for a 2 day, 1 night trip that was also quite interesting.

I've never had much luck with the apps, but I'm not the most attractive guy in the world. The massage places in Taipei worked well for me though.

I'm no spring chicken but always seem to attract young guys who are desperate to hook up with a 'Daddy' type. I can't recall which is the most active app, but I open them all to increase my chances!

One amusing story. I went to one of the Pride Parades 4 or 5 years ago. After I arrived in Taipei 2 days beforehand, I soon had an app message from a cute guy who said he knew me!! It turned out he was from Macao. Although we had never met, we had chatted for about 3 years on a new dead site named fridae. He had moved to Taiwan do a post-graduate degree in Taichung. When I told him I was going to the Gay Pride Parade, he said he had never been and asked if he could come with me. Sure, I said. I thought the next question might be: could he stay with me? And I am always concerned about having someone overnight whom I have not met before. No problem, he said. He would get a cheap guest house. We'd meet in my hotel for coffee 30 minutes before setting out for the Parade.

The evening before, I was sitting in the Red House having a drink with an old friend and watching the cute world walk by. Eventually one super cute guy walked by. We noticed he was looking around and assumed he was meeting up with a friend. Then he turned around and come up to our table. "Are you Armando?" he asked. This turned out to be my Macao friend. Now i regretted I would not be spending the night with him!

He came to the hotel the next morning and asked if instead of coffee he could come up to my room just to chat. Once in the room I hugged him. He then whispered in my ear. "Please fuck me. Now!" I told him it might be better if we waited and had more time after the Parade. "No, now! Please!" Well, what could I do? It was a delightful way to start the Parade!

Monday 22 to Friday 26
This was the first day of my 5-day round island tour. It sounds like this is the same tour that Armando mentioned above. It is available on TripAdvisor (https://www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionProductReview-g13808515-d11468189-5_Day_Best_of_Taiwan_Sun_Moon_Lake_Taroko_Gorge_Ka ohsiung_Taitung-Xinyi_District.html) and I recommend it to anyone who wants to see the island in a short amount of time. If you are traveling for several weeks or a month, it might be better a DIY round trip around the island.

The tour visits Sun Moon Lake, Kaohsiung, Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fo_Guang_Shan_Buddha_Museum) (the most beautiful Buddhist temple I've visited), Taitung,
and Taroko Gorge. All the days we stayed in rural areas, except for the 3rd day when we stayed in Kaohsiung downtown. This is was the only day I could hookup with locals.

We got to our hotel in the evening, 6 or 7 pm. I opened Grindr and an hour later a 19-year old smooth twink was in my hotel room. He was so fucking tight, I thought he was not going to be able to take my cock, but he didn't complain. Given that he was so tight and I haven't cummed for ~3 days, I came very quickly. He was clearly not satisfied and asked if I could get hard again. I went to the bathroom and discretely took a quarter of a 100mg viagra pill. He sucked until I got hard again and this time he came very quickly, leaving me with a viagra hardon. He offered to suck me until I cum, but I told him he was OK, he didn't have to. Then, he left with my babies inside.

I went back to Grindr to find another willing bttm and 30 min later there was 27ish guy in my room. He didn't speak much English, but he didn't lose time and started sucking me right away. He asked to use the shower. When he got out, he lay down on the bed face down, I spit on his ass and tried to go in. Unlike the 19-year boy, this guy tried to stop with his hand, and asked me if I was negative; I said yes, and he said OK. I ended up cumming in him again.

The next post will be about the Gay Pride weekend in Taipei, one of the most fun weekends in my life.

I have been to Taiwan several times, the longest 3 months in 2018 to study Chinese. The gay sauna Soi13in is great, my favorite of over 50 gay saunas all over South-East Asia. But that didn't translate to online dating for me. There are cute boys on the apps, but it is mostly like a black hole, nothing comes back, I message 20 boys and get one reply. For comparison, in 7 days in Yangon I had 8 boys; in 3 months in Taipei I had 5 boys. None of the issues encountered in Thailand (sick grandmother, space-time confusion). I have no idea where this discrepancy to my experiences elsewhere in SEAsia, or other posters reporting from Taiwan, comes from.

The country is a great place for general travel (but I don't like winter which can be cold, and I have never been and will not go during monsoon season) and I will be back for general travel and hiking, but without expectations boy-wise.

I find your experience very interesting. Taiwan is the place that I got the most messages online. Actually, too many messages that I couldn't keep up with them and the guys were very pushy. In contrast, I didn't enjoy much my visit to Soi13in (I'll talk more about it in the last post of this trip report). I visited the sauna on the Gay Pride day, but I found the guys to be so shy and slow. A big difference on how they behave on online apps. I think this is because they want "to save face"; they are afraid of being perceived as sluts. Taiwanese care a lot about what other people think of it.

I have not been to Soi13in. When I was at the Gay Pride Parade I mentioned earlier, my Macao friend had arranged to have dinner with his Macanese friends that evening. So I went out to the hot spring up the hill from the Shipai MRT station, the one that was then gay friendly (it changed its policy about 4 years ago when the owner felt it was becoming too gay!) I had been a few times in previous years. On this occasion, I bought my ticket. i was then surprised to find a queue outside. So many visitors for the Parade had had the same idea. It took about 20 minutes actually to get inside. The shoe lockers are at the entrance. From there it is only a matter of a few meters before you get to the lockers. But that took another 20 minutes. Once the main hot spring came into view, I was gobsmacked. I could not see the water! The pool was packed chock full of mostly gay and mostly young guys. There were even guys happily lounging in the altogether on the sides. It may have taken far longer than I expected to get inside, but once there it was almost a vision of heaven!

On another occasion, I was in that same pool when there were not nearly as many bathers. I noticed a rather small but aggressively cute Chinese enter the changing area. He was clearly at something of a loss as to how the lockers worked, so I quickly got out of the pool, smiled and helped him. Turned out he was Canadian Chinese and it was his first visit to Taipei. Once he had undressed, he displayed a much larger than average cock. So I led him through to the pool. As i did so, every pair of eyes in the hot spring was locked on to us (well, to him). Sadly I was not his type, but he certainly was a vision to behold!

I think it is much less an issue of face as it is of genuine shyness with a foreigner. I guess about half the boys I met had never been with a foreigner before and so were not sure how to behave and how to approach the sex part. I find it is useful to have a chat first so that I find out a bit more about them. Even though their English may be limited, there is usually enough to tell me that. I then take the initiative - but quite slowly. I always suggest a nice long shower together first with me giving him a gentle soap massage is a good way to get him in the mood!

My experiences were exactly the opposite. On short (one week) trips to Taiwan I was amazed at Soi13in, finally a sauna that is clean by my standards, has boys who are my type, and group activities in the dark rooms (still enough light to see what/whom you are doing) where everyone can at least have a grope.

Contrast to Thailand gay saunas: mostly in need of cleaning/maintenance, rarely a cute boy to be seen, general attitude "don't touch me!", pitch-black dark rooms (where you wouldn't recognize your father).

Those overwhelmingly positive experiences at Soi13in were a significant contribution to my decision to spend 3 months in Taipei in 2018 to study Chinese as main occupation (with a bit of travelling and gay stuff on the side). But then came the disappointment: activities in sauna didn't mean any of them was interested in me (in online dating), it was just culturally different from Thailand (you wouldn't have such group activities where everyone can have a grope and more in Thailand).

After going to Babylon Sauna for Songkran 2013, I now avoid gay venues (actually all places of entertainment) on holidays. Too crowded (shapely boys are scarce, you mostly rub your body against old, fat, sweaty bodies), waiting time, and most importantly, most people seem to be there for general entertainment, not sex; whereas I go for sex.

Anyway, when I go to a gay venue I'm looking for an experience that I can repeat every day, or at least every week, not just once per year.

Friday 26
The tour finished in Taipei around 5-6 pm. For the weekend I had booked an AirBnB rather than a hotel. I had already arranged to meet another guy, Guy F. He was only 22. He had told me that he didn't want sex. We went for dinner. Then he asked if he could go to my hotel room to take a shower. Story short, in a very cute way he ended up convincing me of eating his ass. That was the first time I ate a guy's ass and I was surprised at how good his ass tasted. I tried to put my dick in his ass, and he said "please, keep using the tongue, I'm too tight". I went back and forth between my tongue and trying to get my dick in him until it finally got in. Then, every 2-3 min he would say "Please, stop, I only do this with my bf" and get my dick out. At first, I found it cute, but soon it became annoying. When I was about to cum I told him "I want to cum inside you", he replied "do you love me?", I said "what? do you know what that means?". He then moved sideways and my dick got out; I ended up cumming outside. I guess I should have said that I loved him.

After he left, I was still horny, so I opened Grindr. I found that a lot of guys were into "hi fun". It took me a while to realize that "hi" meant Tina. I blocked all of them. I ended up meeting another, Guy G. At the time I didn't know, but he turned to be a porn actor (https://www.gdude-jp.com/models/pochi.html). I'm surprised that he uses condoms in those videos, if before meeting up he was very persistent on bareback and I shouldn't pull out.

Saturday 27
I had agreed to meet up with another guy at 8 am, but when I woke up I had a message where he told me he couldn't meet up. I opened Grindr and I ended up fucking for the whole morning. Given that this day was the gay Parade, Grindr was full of horny guys. I met 4 different guys, including a gay instafamous (should I share his IG?).

In the afternoon I went to the gay parade with Guy B and other guys I had talked online, but didn't want to fuck. In the evening, I told them I was going back to my hotel; Guy B wanted to go to my hotel with me, I told them that I was too tired and wanted to rest. Actually, I wanted to go to a gay sauna. I was between Aniki Club and Soi13, but after some research, I learned that Soi13 is more popular with local guys and Aniki is more popular with foreigners.

When I arrived at So13in, I was told that I couldn't use my sleepers, I had to walk barefoot. That's something I don't get, but I had to oblige. There were many guys, but not too crowded. All guys had very visible condoms in their hands and most were covering their dicks with a hand towel. I was one of the few walking completely naked. As I mentioned in another post, many guys stared at me, but they didn't anything. The first guy I ended up going to a private booth, ended being a Taiwanese that lived in NY, so he was very assertive. He told me that I needed to be pushier and "almost raped the Taiwanese guys". I had fun with other 2 guys, both had condoms, but none asked to use them. I stayed around 2 hours and left quite disappointed given that I was expecting to fucking dozens of guys.

Sunday 28
Guy B went to my hotel in the morning and we had fun for hours. He did the same as last time that after I creampied him, he sucked me very delicately until I came again in his mouth. By far, Guy B was my favorite guy of all guys I met during this trip. He was a true submissive bttm, so eager to please.

This day was my flight back home. I checked out of the hotel and Guy B took me to the airport. At the airport, he told me that he loved me and if I wanted to be his bf. That was quite uncomfortable. I had to explain how a long-distance relationship wouldn't work, but that I'd be happy to meet again.

Final thought.
In retrospect, of all gay trips I had done, this is still the one I had the most fun. Guys are very friendly and welcoming, they like showing you around and explaining their culture. There are so many bottoms. And I was surprised to see so many bubble butts. I thought Asians would be flatter hehe.

But there are some cultural differences. I wonder if Taiwanese don't know what "I love you" means because. In addition, sometimes they aren't straightforward at all and we have to guess what they mean/want.

Yes, there are cultural differences but I find it does not take long to discover them and find a way to cope with them. The same is true in Japan and probably quite a number of other countries. They are not straightforward, perhaps because of the 'face' issue and an inbred concern that their approach might be rejected.

As for the "I love you" business, I am sure a lot of readers have had the same in Thailand. It does not mean "love" in the western sense. I always consider it to mean I like you very much and would like to get to know you better. This is especially true of younger Taiwanese. As mentioned earlier, the general lack of available foreigners results in a lot of guys very keen to establish some kind of relationship with one they find and have a good time with.

My record with the apps was 5 years ago - 4 guys one day. I had set up two appointments for early afternoon and early evening. Then one boy clicked and said he was working very near my location. Could he come over for a short time at 11:00. Well, what could I say? Turned out he was great and we did meet a few times on future visits. By late afternoon housekeeping must have been wondering why I was requesting so many extra towels!! The late evening encounter was, like the morning's, completely unexpected. I had noticed this very cute guy the day before and started chatting. Then there was silence. But in the early evening the following day he got in touch again asking if he could come over after work. Although I was exhausted by then, I thought: why not? He was truly beautiful, very much boyfriend material if I had been considering living there, but the sex was not great. Perhaps it was fatigue on my part.

Since then, on my visits I have never enjoyed more than two boys in one day. Usually it is just one so that if we really get on, I like to take him for dinner and just get to know him better. Rather than meeting a raft of new boys on each visit, I do find I prefer to hook up again with guys I have enjoyed.

I agree entirely with @passiontop. The bubble butts are a joy to behold and there are considerably more bottoms on the apps.

I have been to Taiwan many times and on my first trip i was 55 yo. There were many very good looking guys wanting to meet from the apps like Hornet and Grindr. My type is a slim twink and there was no shortage of them and no money was involved. By staying a month and travelling around Taiwan it was possible to make many new friends, gay and str8 who i will go back to visit again soon. It was not only the sex but the lifelong friends that i made in Taiwan that make it so special for me.

I am now 65yo and i did notice as i got older that i was not meeting as many guys on my trips. I believe that you should be able to meet some nice guys from the apps and make some new friends. I often saw older foreigners above 65yo with Taiwanese guys out on dates. I suggest that you include some sightseeing on your trip to Taiwan if you go as it is much more than just a destination for sex.

But then came the disappointment: activities in sauna didn't mean any of them was interested in me (in online dating), it was just culturally different from Thailand (you wouldn't have such group activities where everyone can have a grope and more in Thailand).
.

I've been to Taiwan many times. The first time was in 2012 and I was in my early 20s. There weren't that many people on apps but I would still have a high success rate. I definitely loved the sauna scene in Taipei. Had lots of fun at Rainbow sauna and got amazed by how good and modern though a bit pricey Aniki was. The crowd was really hot and guys were not shy to invite you over for a threesome or group action.
Since then have I have returned to Taiwan quite a few times.

Taipei pride is definitely my favorite event in Asia as it attracts so many twinks, not just from Taiwan but from all over Asia.
I don't know if it's the age difference, but I have had a different experience in Soi 13 from that of Christian and pasiontop. Let just say that even on a normal weekend, Soi 13 is to me the best sauna in the world. Great and clean facilities with a lot of cabins available( remember reading somewhere that it used to be a karaoke bar before it), the crowd is around 70% smooth slim/muscular twinks and the icing on the cake: you have to go around naked, so there is so much eye candy.

However during pride it just gets to another level, the closest thing to heaven I've experienced:)). There is a non-stop influx of young smooth bodies and butts that it gets almost overwhelming. So much fondling, body touch, kissing, etc. Didn't find the guys to be that shy, only few if you wanted to talk to them because their English skills might not be the best, but it was never a problem when you showed your intent for them to join you in a cabin.
I usually go around 5:30PM and stay till 11:00PM. Get completely drained (in many senses) but it's such a great time. I think one night I even had like 6 guys in Soi 13 (though only 3 happy endings). Would exchange line ids and meet some of them for lunch or coffee the next day. as I said, it's not just Taiwanese. Last pride I was there in 2019 I met: 1 Viet, 1 Thai, 2 Japanese, 1 Filipino, 1 Singaporean and 1 HK in there.

I would say though I noticed what Christian described during the Songran foam parties at Babylon. Lots of guys but not many wanted to have action and when you found, most of the cabins were occupied. Had much better experience at R3's foam party but that's probably something to write about in another post.

Taiwan will remove their travel restrictions on October 13. I'm really tempted to go there for pride week (October 22-29) as the flights from/to LA are still reasonable (though almost double what they were before Covid). However their rules are still kinda blurry, you don't have to quarantine but you need to do a self-test on the first and second day and also if you want to go around so might end up skipping it.

Will definitely return by early next year. If anyone else visits Taiwan, please post your travel report in here.

The latest rules are for a 0+7 system in place, i.e., "Quarantine duration: the day of arrival counts as Day 0. A seven-day period of self-initiated prevention will be required." and there will be a cap of 150,000 incoming arrivals weekly - on a trial basis.

You can read the official statement in English at https://www.cdc.gov.tw/En/Bulletin/Detail/nEBLnOPooDYFy_CBJqfWvg?typeid=158.

Self-initiated prevention has been stated to be: "An arrival can undergo self-initiated epidemic prevention at his or her home or a residence of his friend or family that meets the one person per room rule. This rule means a room used to undergo self-initiated epidemic prevention, in principle, should have a bathroom. An arrival cannot stay at a general hotel."

As of today (Wednesday October 5), the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) confirmed 54,874 local COVID cases, 55 imported cases, and 48 deaths.

Yeah, I read the details earlier and decided to skip it. I guess it will be for 2023 pride , though I'm going to World Pride in Sydney next march and that for sure will be a mini Taipei pride considering the high number of Taiwanese in Australia.

I'm still looking at the option of going to Taiwan on the second week of January, as I'll spend Xmas and NYE in Bangkok. Thinking of going to Kaohsiung, as Tainan is as south as I've been to and then a few days in Taipei to meet friends. If they are not reopened by then, I'll just go to Vietnam.

I wonder if any you, Dragonman, Christian or others have been to the Hi-Man sauna in Kaosiung?
The reviews look really good. Similar to Soi 13 in Taipei.

As I posted in my blog (currently offline):

Fri5apr2019 Kaohsiung Hi man sauna
Location for this and following see google maps. Entry 400. Stay 19:53-21:50. So-so.
1st floor = ground floor entrance to building.
3rd floor (lift) reception, locker, group rooms and 30 private rooms, sauna, large steamroom with window to urinal (no light in steamroom, looking from urinal you only see a dark wall and don’t know someone could be looking at you peeing), showers with hot water (too hot!), labyrinth and darkroom. Free cookies and orange juice.

About 50 customers throughout with a good turnover. One cute and three interested in me. The cute one was an asshole (as a general insult, which I use very sparingly, but here it fits). First he was wearing underwear and shirt whereas everyone else was just in underwear, and he took his mobile phone into the dark room and when he turned on the screen, probably to better see, I and probably everyone else was blinded from the sudden light.

I have not visited Hi-Man as I am not in its demographic.

I have not visited Hi-Man as I am not in its demographic.

Is the demographics mostly young twinks/ muscular guys ,Dragonman?

Thanks for your review Christian. Seems like it's not as good as Soi 13, where on a weekend between 18:00-21:00 you would get way more than 50 guys, plus every night is naked night in there.

I see from their FB page that Hi-man has a lot of events though, so I wonder if there is a better day to go.

I'm not aware that the demographic favors either young twinks or muscular guys, merely those younger than say their mid-forties.

The differing numbers in attendance may simply reflect the differing population levels, i.e., around 4 million in Taipei versus the 2.7 million in Kaohsiung. Taipei in the capital and more cosmopolitan and in many ways more developed than Kaohsiung, which is essentially a port city, and Taipei offers better job opportunities for younger people.
