The Dragon Man Club is not a club I have been to, but a fa-ràng friend of mine, who returned to Thailand in December and spent the obligatory two weeks in quarantine, travelled down to Pattaya from Bangkok and visited the club at the weekend. He posted a bunch of photos and two videos on facebook and I obtained his permission to post three of his photos here on the forum for the enjoyment of my fellow members.

Given the various travel restrictions, the club looks reasonably well attended and my friend and his companions intimated that they had lots of fun. Although clearly not jam-packed it looks reasonably well attended given the circumstances. And at least it was open, which more than can be said for nightclubs here in the UK, which have been closed since March 2020!

The club can be found at Pattayaklang 12-5, Bang Lumung district and for directions see the Google maps screenshots posted below.

At the location shown on your map, I took the following snap a few weeks ago, whilst on a walk. Same location, different branding.

No twinks, hence I forgot about it.

Isnt this the site of the old Nab night Club?

And what time does it open and close? All bars are supposed to close at 11 pm, although there is talk of a small extension.

What time do they close?

When I look on Google Maps, this Gold Star place is marked as "G-Star Pattaya". Promising?

We're under a travel ban for the moment, so I fear it will be some time before we can return to Thailand (not looking forward to the quarantine thing, but if I can telework it should be OK).

The dancer second from the left is Arti. He's been kicking around the scene for years and is a long ago previous off of mine.

I've been to G-star and it was a sod to find, newly opened then even the police I asked didn't know where it was.

I believe the site of the old Nab Man club features in a post on a competing forum, where a poster spotted a B747 jet that appears to have landed next to second road (on Google maps it shows as cleared land, likely a construction site).

This new place is a few hundred meters further inland from there.

I believe the site of the old Nab Man club .

OK so now my head is spinning as is it not also the old Dave Club - or DABE club as I used to love to hear my Thai friends calling it ..... which was if my memory serves me correctly just the the other half of Nab ( I never could quite understand why they didn't just knock it all into on mage club - different owners perhaps ?? But if so then they've maybe managed to just kept all the "D" logos that were around the place from the Dave Club days and just changed the name to Dragon ( but using the Nab stage seemingly ) ?

Or is was that somewhere totally different I'm thinking of perhaps ? See there's the trouble whizzing about Pattaya half cut on the back of some Thai boys bike or in an boy overloaded bus as you all fall out of some bar somewhere and someone says "ok we go to club now", everywhere tends to blur into one big night out by the end of the evening - if you're lucky ! :-)

Totally different Nirish. Dave Man Club was off Soi 7 between Beach and First Road. It was a great place with some hot hot go go boys and a wonderful venue to finish off the night

FIMP.

Wasn't there a Dragon Boys in Boyztown near the Second Road corner? Perhaps on the site that became Funny Boys. It didn't last long. The one guy I offed was a disaster. A co-incidence, of course, but that's the only reason I remember it.

The current Dragon club was originally I-dol man club before becoming Muze, then G-Star and now Dragon.

I am told that the Feng Shui is all bad for that site as it's on a dog leg of the road, hence the reason that no business ever seems to last long there!

As promised in post #9 I went, with an off, to Dragon Man yesterday. I will not be returning any time soon.

My off told me that a bottle was 800bt with free mixers. The truth was that a bottle was 899 and the mixers cost another 700 baht. When I queried this with the waitress she said “birthday party tonight, not free mixer”. A few years ago I remember a bar once raising its prices for a birthday party. We told the Mamasan exactly why we were leaving that party.

As you will see from the pics below the place was packed. It was a long weekend holiday. It is also quite small (nothing like the size of Phillipine Isaan on 3 rd Road). (Sp). Probably only 3 times the size of BBB in BT.

Despite its name Dragon Man is definitely NOT a gay venue. There were as many women as guys in there. Most of the customers were in mixed company. No available boys working the place either.

At 1 a.m. it closed, accompanied by a police attendance.

Sorry for the disappointing review.

Judging by the flab-in-shorts on stage maybe you went to the Chubby Chasers Ball.

You should have seen some of the huge grotesque women in there! I nearly took a pic specially for the forum!

Just saw that video about 'explicit' shows and the raid/arrest...

that poor owner of the club.

No 'explicit' show seen when police arrived but other charges.

Im just glad it was Moses who posted the pics above from the club and no one else after the police being tipped off from a an post on social media etc etc as when I read the above first thing I thought is "surely the less said re this the better online"?

Still no doubt it's no big deal and it will be business as usual once the usual fee for the correct licence has been provided - to those who sign off on such things.

NO masks..How nice......besides I want a GAY bar, not a bar with men and women,,,which ruins the whole atmosphere....I did not like the bars last couple years in which a bunch of chinese women tourist were in the bars...giggling and ruining it for ,, well me....I just don't enjoy the mixed crowd,,,I long for the just gay patrons......just me..I know many disagree and I know the bars NEED the woman customers to make money...so it goes

There was an item on yesterday's Thiger Youtube channel about the arrest of the owner.

I found the Thaiger news report on YouTube and copy it below. The club report begins around 2:23.
