This subject was first mentioned in a post by arsenal in another place (https://sawatdeenetwork.com/v4/showthread.php?21855-A-right-old-pie-fight&p=273902&viewfull=1#post273902). I’ll be honest and say that when I first heard there was a film called News of the World about to be released on Netflix, I immediately jumped to the conclusion that it was about a well known British newspaper, which was closed in 2011 after 168 years following police investigations and subsequent arrests into phone hacking and corruption allegations. The newspaper specialised in celebrity gossip, scandals and lewd conduct stories, which earned itself the nickname ‘The News of the Screws’.

The News of the World was a weekly national red top tabloid newspaper published every Sunday in the United Kingdom from 1843 to 2011. It was at one time the world's highest-selling English-language newspaper, and at closure still had one of the highest English-language circulations.[4] It was originally established as a broadsheet by John Browne Bell, who identified crime, sensation and vice as the themes that would sell most copies.[5] The Bells sold to Henry Lascelles Carr in 1891; in 1969 it was bought from the Carrs by Rupert Murdoch's media firm News Limited. Reorganised into News International, a subsidiary of News Corporation, the newspaper was transformed into a tabloid in 1984 and became the Sunday sister paper of The Sun . . .

But it turns out News of the World actually refers to a western drama movie starring Tom Hanks, which was released in December 2020 and will be shown on Netflix on February 10, 2021. A video clip and details of which can be found below:
News of the World is a 2020 American Western drama film co-written and directed by Paul Greengrass, based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Paulette Jiles, and starring Tom Hanks and introducing Helena Zengel. The film follows a Civil War veteran who must return a young girl who was taken in by Native Americans as an infant to her last remaining family . . .
