The Windermere Children.
Director Michael Samuels.

The story of Jewish children who survived the death camps and their coming to England. Not always easy to watch but absolutely worth it.

It looks like it was shown here in the UK on Monday, 27 January 2020 on BBC Two, but I was in Thailand at the time, so I missed it. It’s not currently available on Catch up or on Netflix, but I’ll keep a look out for it being rebroadcast, arsenal. I note that one of my favourite British actors, Tim McInnerny, is among the cast and he is also appearing in, The Serpent (https://sawatdeenetwork.com/v4/showthread.php?21780-The-Serpent&p=272617&viewfull=1#post272617).

The Windermere Children is a 2020 biographical drama film written by Simon Block and directed by Michael Samuels. Based on the experience of child survivors of the Holocaust, it follows the children and staff of a camp set up on the Calgarth Estate in Troutbeck Bridge, near Lake Windermere, England, where the survivors were helped to rehabilitate, rebuild their lives, and integrate into the British society. The film was produced by Simon Block as 'executive producer' with Nancy Bornat as factual producer and Ben Evans as development producer . . .

JB. It was while watching The Serpent that I looked at Tim Mcinnery's CV and that's how I came across this film. One thing about China is that I can find almost any movie or TV show from the last 40 years totally free to stream.

By the same token Britain should also help the survivors of British bombs in Iraq, Yemen, and other territories around the world, not just the Jews but also the other Semites in rebuilding their lives and integrate into the British society. There are so many others who have fared worse than the Jewish people.

Aye those 6 million people that died in the Holocaust should really learn to pipe down, there's plenty of people worse off than them eh ! :-(

"By the same token"

Different token. Different topic. Different era. Different thread.
