I can’t see anything new in that article that we didn’t already know. What I don’t understand is that whilst Thais have been given incentives to travel, few are able to take time off mid week. If the government would only extend the scheme to expats with the proviso that it covers travel from Monday till Friday morning, there would surely be some small boost for the hotel trade.

It has to be the worst local rag article posted so far. Apart from being barely readable it’s full of errors.

The air travel ban is over,. There is a list of approved airlines flying into Thailand from Europe. For example there are 4 flights a day from London operated by Qatar Airways alone. These 4 flights connect in Doha with 2 onward flights a day to BKK and they ALL operated today.

Then they add a series of pictures purporting to show the lack of tourists. Most taken under a heavily laden sky with obviously recent heavy rain. And in Walking Street during daylight.

How many tourists go to Walking Street, before dark, when it’s pissing down?
