It's obvious that when WW3 kicks off a vacancy has now arisen. Forces sweetheart. Nirish and I can do the entertaining the troops gig while others can take care of the equally important sitting in mud, eating corned beef and being shot at by the enemy number..

Reminds me of another voice to die for ... Patsy Cline, very much like Vera's.
Patsy died at age 30.

You're right Smiles that both ladies had fabulous voices, however back in the day I played keyboards in a cabaret band on the "club circuit' and unfortunately I think I've ended up with a musical version of PTSD as I swear if I have to hear one more fat, drunk woman insist that we playing backing for her as she sings "her song" and then launches into an out of tune fishwife song that she starts with a loud KAR AZ EEEEEEE KAR AZ REEEEE for feeling so LONLYYYYYYYYY" as she staggers about the stage I swear I'll scream :)

That is only closely followed by my walking around Pattaya bars and hearing drunk farang belting their own bad renditions of good old "My Way" - both songs genuinely still give me a shiver up my back when I hear the opening chords as I usually know what's coming next ! :-)
