Long time lurker, first time poster here. With the current virus going around creating ample time at home I finally sat down and wanted to write a thorough review of my most recent trip to Bangkok and visit at Senso. Hopefully this will be helpful to others thinking about a visit, and also I would love feedback about how to go about visiting these types of places in the future. I travel to Asia on average once or twice a year and want to make the most of my time when there.

First of all, this was not my first visit to a gay massage parlor. Below are a brief summary of my previous visits over the last 3 years:
1st: Chiang Mai, Common Massage, very poor massage and NO happy ending.
2nd: Chiang Mai, Classic House Massage, very GOOD Thai-Style massage, happy ending (wank).
3rd: Singapore, Water Spa, fairly good water treatment and oil massage, happy ending (body-to-body massage, wank, and brief BJ).
4th: Bangkok, Senso, review below:

I had the opportunity for a quick solo trip to Bangkok in October 2019. It was a quick trip, so I did my research looking through various massage reviews online. I decided on Senso for the generally favorable reviews and convenience of closeness to the BTS station. About a week out I sent a Line message requesting to book an appointment for early afternoon (3 PM) on a weekend. I received a reply a few hours later stating it was confirmed and to please come on time. I replied that I would be there.

Senso was easy to find, not a far walk from the Sala Daeng BTS. I arrived about 10 minutes early and was warmly welcomed by the manager. However he seemed confused when I told him I had made an appointment. (perhaps it was an English issue?) Anyway he provided me a menu with various services and prices. He pushed a "VIP Special" which was a VIP Room, 90 minute massage and body scrub. Price was 1490 baht with a 1500 tip. I agreed, however was originally wanting a 120 minute massage, but figured this was easy enough.

There were only 3 guys working at the time I was there. The one I chose, whom I think his name was "Tik" was the most slender of the 3. Very fit, small build like a twink and not overly muscled, but chiseled at the same time. He went to presumably prepare the room and I relaxed with a water and cool towel. I did notice a cocktail bar, but was not offered anything.

A few minutes later Tik returned and ushered me upstairs. After climbing up several levels we arrived at the room. It was a little warm and stuffy inside, but very clean. He turned on the A/C and showed me the cabinet to store my clothing/belongings and told me to take my time and shower. I showered using the provided soap/body wash. I exited the shower wearing my towel and Tik had taken his shirt off and was preparing the oils for the massage. He told me to lie down and I removed the towel and laid down face down on my stomach. He removed the jogging pants he was wearing and was completely nude and VERY well hung, even being flaccid. We exchanged some light conversation and he had pretty good English.

He began the massage focusing on my back, legs, and arms. It was a fairly typical massage, however he used very little oil. I also normally don't like hard pressures at all, however I felt his pressures were a bit light even for me. Still, while it was not the best massage I have ever had it was definitely not the worst. After maybe only 5-10 minutes he motioned for me to turn over. I turned over and kept my eyes closed as at this point in the massage I was really focused on just that.... the massage. I will admit I began to become partially erect fairly soon while laying on my back and he immediately started to suck. It surprised me somewhat as I was expecting any "happy ending" to occur much later in the session.

Naturally I didn't resist and enjoyed. It was a nice BJ (receiving only), rimming, and makeout (kissing) session. I truly felt that had I initiated anything further (such as anal sex) he would've agreed. I did not see any condoms easily nearby and while I had a few in my wallet, they were stored away in the cupboard. After 10 minutes of this play I exploded and that was that. We retired to the shower and he thoroughly cleaned both of us off and then began to clean the room. Total time was just under an hour. I dressed and paid him his tip. The minimum was 1500 baht and I believe I paid him 2000. He was a super nice guy and seemed a bit embarrassed that things ended as soon as they did. I was completely satisfied, but also too a bit surprised it went by so quickly.

Going downstairs the manager was there and asked me how things went. I told him very well and he seemed happy. I paid 1500 for the massage and told him I would return again. I then made by way back to the BTS to my hotel. I did see a few others guys in the waiting area obviously waiting for a masseur.

Overall I was satisfied as I came there to ultimately get off and I did just that. I would have preferred a bit more of an actual massage, I never received the body scrub, but I did enjoy everything and do feel there was a chemistry between us.

Any recommendations for future sessions? Such as how initiate "actual sex?" Again I feel we were so close to it, but I didn't know how to suggest it. I thought about offering additional tip, but thought that might be considered rude. And honestly I am still such a newbie to the gay Thai massage scene I'm not sure if a BJ or wank is the norm and actual sex is rare. And what is considerate appropriate regarding touching the masseur's body, cock, balls, etc?

I do feel in the future I won't worry with making an advance appointment and might try to go later in the evening for a wider range of guys, perhaps having a drink, etc. I'm from the States so this a rare event for me. My hubby and I have an agreement that whatever happens in Thailand stays in Thailand, so just trying to learn for future sessions. An excellent first post, if I may say so. I believe I last visited Senso Men’s Club (https://www.sensobangkok.com/)three or maybe even four years ago. It is so hard to keep tract of time I cannot now remember for sure. I do however recall it was expensive, which may account for the fact that I did not return very often. I’m pretty sure my last experience was a very good one. I thought I had posted about it on the forum, but after conducting a search, I couldn’t find it. I have a vague memory of meeting a really special masseur at Senso and seeing him afterwards at a nearby cafe, but now I can’t recall the details.

Before you select a masseur, if is often helpful to tell the receptionist or manager, or whoever is there to assist you, what you would like to do and they will usually be able to recommend a masseur who can accommodate your requirements. At least that’s been my experience. Sometimes I make a point of asking, but more often than not I usually select on gut instinct without asking any questions. Occasionally though, I have to tell you, my gut lets me down. I’ve also found that massages can be a hit and miss affair, but thankfully, in the majority of cases, I have had a very good experience.

Alternatively, you can ask the masseur before you begin the massage, but you may not get the answer you were hoping for, or he may not fully understand the question. Once the massage moves on to part two, it has also been my experience that in many cases it’s the masseur who will suggest what is to follow. It is of course up to you as the customer whether you agree or disagree to the masseur’s suggested way forward. I also recall that some masseurs in Bangkok wanted an extra tip if the customer wished the masseur to also experience a happy ending. I believe an extra B500 was acceptable in such circumstances. And, I also added on an extra B500 to the agreed fee when I especially enjoyed the service.

During my last trip to Bangkok I engaged the services of masseurs via the apps, especially through the Silom Village People Massage Company*. Unfortunately, I got Bob the Builder (a substitute photo is shown below), when I was expecting Felipe, the Native American. But, nevertheless, I had no complaints over Bob's technique and will happily engage his services again, i.e. depending on what hoops foreigners will be expected to jump through to gain admittance to Thailand after lockdown is over. Thailand is, I suspect, likely to require tourists to produce a negative test result medical certificate for Covid-19 or, once a Covid-19 vaccine is found, require tourists to produce a certificate showing they have been vaccinated.

That's a difficult point and going from massage to happy ending can be a smooth transition or a "do you want (sex/handjob/just pointing to my penis)?" asked by a masseur still fully clothed and out of reach of my hand (I declined). If you mean fucking, I had a few experiences where after turning around to massage my front, I got hard or was already hard, and the masseur produced a condom and started riding on my.

For me, the less is spoken during massage and happy ending, the better (after maybe a short introduction at the beginning: what's your name, where do you come from; to assess the masseur's English skills and find some common ground - I have traveled a lot in Thailand and probably have even been to his home province for sightseeing).

But over all the dozens of massages I had in various places (low to mid price; I think 300 for just massage and an additional 500 for happy ending - which is a wank and having my hands all over the masseur's naked body - making a total of 800 is a fair price and well received at the places I go; I wouldn't go to a place that has a minimum tip of more than 800 THB) I found getting someone from a gogo bar or from online serves me much better, and that is where I take most of my business with massage with happy ending just a side theater of war, accounting for 1 out of 20 encounters.


And what is considerate appropriate regarding touching the masseur's body, cock, balls, etc?
If I'm going to massage looking for happy ending, I want the masseur naked so I can get my eyes, hands, lips, tongue all over his body. If the masseur's idea of a happy ending is "shirt up, pants down" (i.e. he pulls his shirt up so I can see and touch his abdomen, and his pants down so I can see and touch his penis) that's a bad start, and in all such cases I should have said "forget it, continue massage and no happy ending" and tip accordingly 300 THB, instead of continue with happy ending.

Back to subject:
Through the yrs have been to 30+ of such places in BKK, and a few elsewhere, of which by now before C some 15+ were closed already. But never to senso-much too expensive and i dont like that area in general very much. One of our moderators div.madman also listed and gave a blog/wordpress for such places. See also the many listings on travelgayasia.com and read the reviews. Ads on thaimassageboy.com.
Frankly, blunt as I am: you paid at least double for half the work. Such places are just very thinly disguised boy-brothels, though often these ´boys´ are already 30+. Best known for farang is Arena in the half empty open-space centre corner of Silom near Chong Nosnri BTS/Mahanakorn. What der Chris mentions are the many shops more aiming at normal msg with a possible extra.
What JB mentions is , rather was, a feature of that Arena, where the quoted lowest tip was 6 or 700 and included only the HJ. For the real works at least 1000 was expected. This led to so many misunderstandings or disputes they have recently cancelled that low amount alltogether-prob solved. About any of the Thai places now says the tip is 1000 and this will include ´everything´ (one of my favorites still has 500 for soft service on its listings). As in most brothels you can expect full service and Thai in general are not shy of giving very intimate service-my usual barber/haircutman also fumbles quite so when I go there.
