Coming out

The latest episode of Christian's blog is now available and it details his "coming out" to his parents. However to me there was something missing. Where were the references to his siblings "coming out" as heterosexual? I never "came out" to my parents; I was waiting for my brothers to proclaim their heterosexuality. They turned up with girls, I turned up (when I could be bothered) with boys. No one said anything

It's the apology gays feel they have to make for not giving their parents grandchildren
It's the apology gays feel they have to make to others in advance of socially awkward situations where the others will assume that everyone is heterosexual, like themselves, and be embarrassed when that proves not to be true
