Hi guys,
Thanks to those who replied to my earlier thread. I decided to book the so Sofitel... I’ll report back when I get there.

I’m also staying two nights in Pattaya at avani.

My next question is... I’m into photography. I want to meet a couple of models to photograph. Is this something bar boys would do or do I need to pay an agency? Agency fee coming in at 260 usd and I’m not sure what I’m getting for that besides an email address.

Yeah, some bar boys will do it for a little extra money. Just ask them. Some will, some won't.

Pattaya is full of amateur pornographers.

Don't tell them you are looking for models, that will raise the price. Just like those bars who claim to have "models" on stage are more expensive.

If, as the original post implies, taxiride has been contemplating using an agency to recruit his models, he is possibly thinking of publishing his work. Even if not, however, I would recommend getting boys to complete suitably-supported model release forms - which also give you cover if you are later challenged on the issue of models' ages.

I have followed that procedure and, if properly done, taxiride will have no problem if he wants to market his material later - though the commercial market for porn is nowadays, of course, far, far less than it used to be.

Just tell them the truth that you want nude pics and what you are willing to pay!!! You won’t get a “Model” to let you take the pics you really want!!!! BTW you had better make sure they are 18 or older and you need to be able to prove it depending on what you plan to do with the pics.

If you want to take nude photos, your chances of success are better if you agree that before the off.

Obviously that's not the only way to negotiate & I've also had lads agree to nude or underwear shots on the spur of the moment. However, I think your chances of success are higher if you ask before the off. After the off, he knows he's getting paid, so there is less reason to agree to extra services.

I don't ask very often, but reckon something like 50% say yes.

Here's one example. Yes, I also have fully nude shots and only cropped his head off for the public post.
I have a TZ100 and what I could do with is some advice on how to get the best results, particularly considering most of my offs are at night and the light can be poor in the rooms. I'm not prepared to carry any bulky photographic equipment.

... just to clarify (because it didn’t post right) I want to take photos of models in clothes but who work the scene in Bangkok. I can see porn anytime. I don’t want to make a porno - I want to do urban images. So the guys would just need to let me shoot a portrait not a naked photo :-)

Hopefully I’ll get a guy who sees it as a night off and gives me some emotional insight.

You shouldn't have any problems finding what you're looking for. Just make it very clear beforehand and show them any portfolio that you may have. I'm sure many would love to have their model-like images frozen for posterity.

You can get that a lot cheaper than going to bars and offing boys. But you would need to speak Thai, make a post on facebook or online dating, or even better to go a busy public area and approach those you want.I would offer a generous 200 THB for two hours of their time.

You can't get around it. The Sofitel Bangkok is 6000 Baht a night so I'm sure you can afford it.
Possibly you could make a deal with the boy to meet up the next morning for a photo shoot. Money will still be part of the deal. And lunch. At the Sofitel.

Anyway, the way you come across writing-wise feels just a little creepy. I'm alone on that probably. Clothes on? ... right, gotcha.

Met a bloke worked at the telephone pub; he’s a bar man / waiter wants to model for me which is really great. For free also which is even better. I’ll post when I’ve took photos and edited.
