There have been a number of articles in the scientific press recently about the intellectual life of vegetables (no, not another thread about Matt). Apparently they communicate with each other in more complex ways than we have thought heretofore but they also have feelings. Carrots, I once read, have been "heard" screaming as they are harvested. In my recent reading I learned that the entire plant is their brain. I now have hard data to feed to foolish vegetarians
