Extinct Species found in Pattaya

The lonely wombat, a species presumed extinct in its natural habitat, has been discovered in Pattaya. Closely related to the hairy nosed wombat, (so named because of its excessive nasal hair) and often confused with its first cousin, the very common New Zealand sheep.
Initially, identification was difficult, due to the excessive body fat, but was finally confirmed after throwing the subject in flour and looking for the wet hairy spot. Scientists were ecstatic with the find, especially as the animal is nocturnal, and only comes out of its burrow during the night, when it eats roots shoots and leaves and complains about the neighbours. Normally shy in the company of others, and sensitive to negative comments and percieved vendattas, we were fortunate in obtaining exclusive photos from his family album which have been posted here.
Sadly, not long after this article was published, and despite warning signs, it became roadkill after being run over by a baht bus on Beach Road

Given that sheep are not native to New Zealand (no land mammals are) I'm not quite sure what you mean by a 'New Zealand sheep'???
