Is anyone else going to the Oktoberfest this year? I'm going to be spending Bangkok's wet September/October at my favourite schloss in Bavaria so if anyone else is around at that time let me know

I haven't been to Bavaria since I was a child but I remember it as being absolutely lovely. Visiting the Nersteinweinieneier (made up spelling, can't be bothered to check) Castle was so exciting. Probably the most famous castle in the world.

It looks beautiful if rather forbidding. The comments from Scottish Guy are as expected as rain at Wimbledon. Variation on a theme I suppose.

It is Neuschwanstein. I've had 8 enjoyable visits to the place. I love Bavaria.

I sure hope you enjoy yourself. I've been many times and always had a great time.

I've also been to Oktoberfest many times over the years but have always found it impossible to get a drink inside the tents - the tables are always fully booked in advance.

But I have enjoyed watching the locals flopping out their appendages at the pissoirs outside.

And the oompa-pah bands are great.

Pity about some of the food, though.

Anyone for Weisswurst?

Half-way through Oktoberfest and there's plenty of "action" amidst all the free-flowing beer. I'm not sure that the Belami porn site ship their brightest and best here, but there's certainly enough horny blond boys around to keep me fully occupied

...plse explainNuremberg is most famous recently for two things - the pre-War rallies whipping up Nazi hysteria (human nature), and the war crimes trials of leading Nazis after the Second World War (human history). My tongue-in-cheek reference to the trials clearly went through to the keeper (as I expected it would)

Bavaria??? How intensely twee.
I rather enjoy Nazis actually, but they're over these days. I prefer Mugabe taking Zimbabwe "for just one more try to get it right" again at 96 years old.
