An expat friend of mine living in bkk has told me he has heard that the thais are going to increase the tax on beer /spirts by 10% .Has any one else heard this or is it as Trump would say false news?

The 10% increase was end of last year. Bars and places that sell alcohol upped their prices at least that much. A friend complained his Mont Claire was first unavailable and then significantly increased in price. At a bar the increase on wine was about 20 baht per glass.
