I started to research the "Q" phenomenon and then I cam across this article in a recent New Statesman (it's not just Tory magazines like The Spectator that I read). "Most likely ... it started as a prank but then grew into something between trolling and live-action spy fantasy roleplay. And as Broderick points out, it doesn’t really matter if it started as a prank now – the QAnon story has a life of its own."
