Mods...enough.

We currently have no less than seven, yes 7 threads running, about food availability in Thailand.

Why haven't these been put into the "Thailand Resources Forum", which has not been used for nearly 3 years? By your own definition its is "A reference library of the best and most recent information about Thailand."

By the way I'm not the first to comment in this way...

Ok, let's discuss that.

What do you think: where is limit? What we should allow and what we should move to "Resources"?
Example:
str8 restauran in gay area - move or keep?
gay owned str8 restaurant in str8 area - move or keep?
gay-friendly (not declared officially) restaurant at str8 area - move or keep?
gay-friendly (officially declared (like rainbow flag icon on the door)) at str8 area move or keep?

about hotels: the same questions
about pharmacies with lubricants/viagra the same questions
about taxi/drivers - if driver isn't gay should we keep or move? (and so on: see above)

or may be line should be below "tested by myself, good quality, recommend"? or even lower - "tested by myself, good quality"?

does forum have enough information about modern life in Pattaya/Bangkok - where to stay, where to eat, where to sleep? let's discuss

Why do some posters seem content in trying to shut down as many threads as possible, especially on a forum as dead as this one?

The restaurant threads are all properly titled, so if you don't want to read about them, don't open the threads. I could care less about restaurants in Pattaya myself, hence why I haven't replied to any of them, but I'm sure there's some people out there that are grateful for the info.

Is this really worth your time and energy to complain about? What's the end goal here? To ensure only one new thread every day gets created?

My only complaint about such posts is that I've just started my "forthcoming thailand trip diet" i.e that moment of standing on the scales since the last trip and thinking " HOLY FUCK How did THAT happen !?" - and those posts are doing nothing to help ( well aside from the one with the burnt bacon and crappy looking eggs) but "that" just says more about my lack of will power than it does about the quality of the posts or otherwise perhaps ! :-(

But if it's believed that such information is useful and widely sough after perhaps a new sub group could be added to allow the posting of all and any info that's of interest to those that seek it to avoid the main page becoming something akin to a restaurant menu page perhaps - although I'm guessing if that same menu was for a selection of boys currently available in certain bars along with suitable pricing and a list of the "side options " that come with them we wouldn't be having this discussion perhaps ? :)

The fact is that posts on the main forum get noticed more than anywhere else and the idea of posting about a restaurant is to let as many people know about it (good or bad) as possible.
