I have been enjoying the delicious American breakfast at the newly opened Harmony Kitchen Cafe... In the former site of the Mocador Cafe in South Pattaya. On Thrappraya.
Open every day 9am to 9pm.
At 125 Thai baht it's affordable and delicious.
I will return....

Looks wonderful. Great food and comfortable decor.

Btw Moses. One of the 'related' topics is
"Most popular porno site busted in Pattaya" so that might indicate either a software glitch or the participants enjoyed a good breakfast after their exertions.

Re the above pic - can someone clarify for me just so that I know for once and for all is ie "E-SAN" ( oe E-San ?) OR is it Isan OR Issan - as a quick google search throws up many of all 3 being used ?? Or like all things in Thailand are ALL of them a "bit" correct, depending on where you come from / how you speak etc perhaps ? Either way is there a general acceptance both in Thai and English which is "more" correct than the others perhaps ?

I note that the food is referred to as an “American Breakfast” - is that really the way Americans like their bacon, as to me it looks like scraps.

The rest of the good value breakfast looks appetising though

"Re the above pic - can someone clarify for me just so that I know for once and for all is ie "E-SAN" ( oe E-San ?) OR is it Isan OR Issan . . . Or like all things in Thailand are ALL of them a "bit" correct ... " Actually the most often used is "Isaan", so that's four variations.
They are all correct really because all you are doing when you use english letters for 'Isaan' (et al) to pronounce it you're simply using phonetics.
The Thai spelling for 'E-san' (et al) is "อีสาน", but using english phonetic sounds for all your examples are pretty much OK to speak or write.

I think "Isaan" is probably the best phonetic attempt to getting the sound of the word right: When Thais say "isaan" there is quite a long and hard sound (almost like an extended "isarrrrn") with the two 'a's helping to get the rather harsh sounding more correct.

If you do bacon in the oven it lays flat, also if the chef uses the trick of lying it flat in a pan - cover with water - and cook until water evaporates and bacon crisps it stays flat. However, if you pan fry a lot at one time and keep turning it in the cro3wded pan it curls like this - it tastes perfectly good.

This looks great but google shows it to be quite far from Boystown - any recommendations for breakfast near Boystown. I always eat at the Ambience but would love to get out a bit

If you go by Royal Thai General System of Transcription (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Thai_General_System_of_Transcription), the transcription is Isan, as used by wikipedia Isan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isan).

No American worth his stars-and-stripes would ever eat a breakfast like that. I mean SALAD on a Breakfast plate (or is it cole slaw?)?!? Who are you trying to kid? We never pretend that we're going for health or nutrition with our breakfast--the very idea is as abhorrent as, I don't know, BAKED BEANS with breakfast.

And what about the small serve?

From what I've heard about food servings in the U.S. it's more of an entree!

That too (though in the US the "entree" is the main course; we might say"appetizer"). I was going to mention the small serving size, but I didn't want to be thought less than refined. But come on. One sausage? A mere two eggs? Perhaps that's the child's plate.
