At least for Canadians (and probably Russians and folks from Scandanvia), summer is finally here!

Not sure what that other season during the middle of the year is called, but it's hot as hell.

Summer time for me! :)) Leo's all bundled up in his warm clothes, and I'm still walking around in the house shirtless.

I love this time of year in Thailand.

Attempting to sound normal are we?

If normal is you, then no, I have no interest in being normal.

Enjoy!

heh, you need to watch Steven Colbert to know what the "Enjoy!" part means.

I can't find the "enjoy!" clip, but here's one pretty close:

Watch it, it's worth the few minutes.

Maybe it's a Canadian thing? Shakes his head in confusion.

Have you “watched” it?

Not even going to dignify that.

That's one of the reasons my media diet contains late night stand up comedy so much now. You don't need to be able to see to understand it.

Let me see now. Thailand is in the Northern Hemisphere, as are Canada, Russia and Scandinavia. The Northern Hemisphere season at this time of year is called ... let me see now ... ah yes, winter. That probably explains why almost every Thai I know who talks about the weather (ie. SFA) describes this as the "cool" season

Yeah, but Thai people don't even know what "cold" is. Cold is when you have to scrape ice off your car windshield every morning, and let it run for 30 minutes before you can drive it. Cold is when you get frostbite because you were outside too long.

Same as how my one nephew doesn't seem to know what "hot" is. Him and his wife got to Vietnam about a month ago, and he was constantly complaining about how hot the weather is. Really? Come back in July. :)

Youd think that with that poor boys mother on her death bed ( for weeks now) he'd be more interested in being at her bedside and at home with his family than couped up there in his winter clothes with you ! Hell you and he could be away to the hosptial town and staying in some nice hotel so he's close by her if needed with all the money your Bitcoin is making you of late. Strange priorities that boy for one who you believe has such a pure heart. I know where I'd be if my mother was dying. But glad to hear that they obviously finally decided that the spinal tap could go ahead ( even though it didn't work !?) - that was unfortuante I guess.

Tried to convince him to go back to the hospital multiple times, and so have his sisters.

I think he knows what will happy, and just wants to be loved right now, hence is staying with me here. Up to him.

What am I supposed to do? Demand he gets out of my house, and visits his mother in the hospital? Considering how erratic he's been acting, I have to treat him with kid gloves at the moment. Whatever he wants is what happens.

Mmmm...where have I read that before?

An, yes. I remember now. That was the answer you gave to my various requests for clarification of comments you'd made regarding your alleged affliction.

Here's one thing I asked you to explain:

You told us you typed using a keyboard that sounded out each letter as you typed. I was confused as to how you could have possibly typed a long line of consonants, one after the other. Something like :

"ggghuygfddddr...."

I had two simple questions :

A). What did you hear as you were typing?

B). What word did you think you were spelling?

So rather than "slither" your way out again, how about answering?

Or is a year not long enough for you to come up with a response?

BTW, I just love the way you "slithered" away from gerefan2's observation above.

What summer is here?

I am in Pattaya now. For as many years, this is the first time I am feeling cool (even a bit cold) while strolling outside. Not that I am complaining.

A447. In my real life I have had to deal with a number of Walter Mittys. There standard operating procedure is to answer any difficult questions with a question, rather than an answer.

When they get caught on the hop, as in this case, their standard defence is to reply with an insult....

This cold snap is nothing unusual at this time of year. I’ve seen it most years when I’ve been here....just give it a few more days and all will be back to normal.

I note that one of our [irony alert] esteemed [/irony alert] Moderators, no less an authority than Christian himself, describes this season in his latest blog post as “winter”
