Definitely one that Matt won't be singing to you after your meeting I'm guessing......

Perhaps members could stick to the topic and not consider every thread an excuse to have a go at Matt.

joe..your choice is too melancholic...i prefer its raining men...or I will survive...or anything by ABBA..

Well latin, I'm a huge fan of Abba, and told my nephew, who will be arranging my funeral in due course, that I want Dancing Queen played.

“The Power of Love”
Jennifer Rush.
Puts all other renditions in the shade.
Don’t think she had many hits but she sure as hell nailed this one.
Joe’s choice is hard to beat though-brings to mind what the haunting music of the spheres might sound like and gives you the fleeting hope that human love just might be eternal.

Since he was rather fond of the cratur it seemed fun that I had Lonnie Donegan's "Have A Drink On Me" played at my father's funeral - sounds like it might be apposite for Joe too!

Choosing my all tine favourite song is difficult.

But I do have a new favourite song which might be destined to become my all time favourite.

As a bonus, the guy is super cute! His name is Dimash Kudaibergen and he's from Kazakhstan and here he's singing in French. Without the subtitles I would not have understood a single word, but I believe he's working hard on his pronunciation. He also sings in Chinese - he's appearing in a Chinese singing competition in this video - and sometimes in English.

Make sure you watch till the very end - the finish is amazing. He demonstrates what you can do with a 5 octave vocal range.

He also does an incredible version of "All By Myself" where he puts his vocal range to good use.

He's all I ever listen to these days.

I'd love to see him perform live. If I can work out how to get a ticket to a concert I might just fly over to Kazakhstan.

Amazing.
From Tenor to male Soprano and yet not a Castrati.
There are a few rare recordings of Castrati on utube.
Haunting but beautiful singing.
Now extinct as they didn’t reproduce.

Now extinct as they didn’t reproduce.

Is that so! Even if they had been able to reproduce they wouldn't have been creating immaculate little castratos!

Unfortunately this band only made one album, but this is a haunting and unique track from it.

Brad, I liked the song, but found it hard to hear what he was saying. I'm slightly deaf, and found the music over took the lyrics.

Yes. It would all have been an impossible self-perpetuating loop.
Oh...do ray Me!

Hmmm.
Quite a motley crew on here tonight.
Great Music!
From the mundane to the esoteric.
The big boss should think about a new link - Sawatdee Long Wave Radio.
Moderstors’ Role; Niche male singers from exotic locations and other era s only and never with Celine Dion.
