That pointy thing

This is a serious question for all our technically gifted members (the ones the rest of us call nerds). Is there a way to make the cursor a different colour? I find I spend half my time looking for the fecking thing so that I can click on Post or whatever. Mine is a pointy arrow, if that makes a difference. Sorry to all our non-technical readers.
