It reminds me of all those naive folk who head off to the towns and villages of Isaan on the mistaken assumption that there must be so many more (and more genuine) boys available there than in Bangkok or Pattaya. Quite a percentage of boys on Grindr in the Silom area say they're from Cambodia, Vietnam or Myanmar

You don't have the density of population and subsequently of boys in the provinces, and there are no gay venues, but there are some gems to be found.

$20 = 600 baht or aren’t you referring to USD? I usually find Cambodian performers in Siem Reap are at least twice that so I’m not surprised you were disappointed

What I object to is paying $50 in Cambodia, which is about 1500 baht. The going rate for short time in Pattaya is less than 1500, so I see no reason to pay $50 (1500 baht)in Cambodia. Or more accurately, I see no reason to commit to paying $50 irrespective of service level.

Both $20 guys in the above story started off asking for $20 & I didn't beat them down to that.
The one who showed up was very poor and wouldn't do much, so he left with his $20 and not a single riel more. Had he delivered good service, he'd have left with a few extra $.

As for how much money I have, it's none of your damn business. I've got enough to fund a decent lifestyle and tip people fairly as well. But I'm not expecting to pay escorts $50 in Cambodia, when the same Khmer escorts are asking for $35 in Pattaya.
