A fascinating "double interview" in today's NY Times about the personality of those who purport to be someone they're not - sglad, for example, although he's too eager to be right and show how clever he is to be much of a success at it. More generically, it's something like the old days of being "in the closet". I thoroughly recommend Spies Like Us (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/25/books/review/john-le-carre-ben-macintyre-british-spy-thrillers.html) and I look forward to reading Le Carre's soon-to-be-published A Legacy of Spies
