View Full Version : Jomtien Rooms

January 15th, 2006, 12:41
I have been looking at staying at Jomtien rather than within the mean streets of Pattaya when I trundle off there in a couple of weeks. Looking at the gay guesthouses within my price range there seem to be the following, can anyone recommend or smite down these:

Poseidon
Bondi
Two Faces (the website doesn't show prices for here so if you know that too please)
Tui's Place (there ain't a website for here so again if you know prices too please)

Cheers

Tuis place is nice in daytime, on the beach. But not very good in the nigth, when it is dark.
I would prefer Bondi,s or Poseidon.

Is the beach bad at night?

Very funny. of course the beach is the same as in day time, but there are bad people running around the beach and the way down to Tui is dark and lonesome.

Funny? I didn't mean it to sound like a wise crack. On one hand I have heard it's an excellent cruising spot at night, on the other hand I have heard about muggings. Mugging often goes hand in hand with cruising spots though. I just wanted to get some information. That's what the forum is all about

Ive stayed at Tui's before and also Rabit which is further down the beach.
I never once felt unsafe walking back at night. In fact most nights got the motorbike taxi to drop me outside the guesthouse. This May im thinking of staying in the place next to Tui's as theyve offered me a good low season discount and the rooms look nice.
If you want beach then go for it.

I stayed at the place next to Tui's place. Both places share the same night security guard. He sits outside and watches a tv that shows what is going on inside the 2 rental palaces.

I enjoyed buying a coffee, snack or soda from the 7 - 11 and treating the security guard with them when I returned late at night.

He will also check the ID of your guest (Required by the owners) and do all he can to protect your safety.

The guests of Tui's seemed happy and and I was able to tell that one was a returning guest.

When I was staying there, I never felt unsafe and enjoyed the walk back to the room as guys in the shadows did what they could to get my attention. Most times they pulled out their cock and played with it.

Before I hated the idea of staying near the neach now I you would need a fat, trucker lesbian with a crowbar to pry me out of the beach area :)

I have stayed in Poseiden a number of times and it is excellent. The rooms are great staff attentive and the restaurant is usually full

A most important consideration for people no longer young is how many floors if there is no lift. Bondi has 4 floors and no lift.

The bar on the groundfloor is becoming a favourite late night watering hole for expats.

I am still waiting to hear more about the new resort that has just opened on the beach between the Police box and Tui's

Thanks for the advice guys.

I never heard back from my email to the Two Faces Guesthouse and I never got around to contacting Tui's. The Posiedon was full but I had a very friendly email from Malcolm at The Bondi and am now fully sorted.

Thanks again.

Fatman...

I finally received an e:mail response from Two Faces. As stated on their website, the rooms rent for 850bt. All are referred to as suites and the rates the same for all rooms. I just sent another message asking them about the size of the rooms and amenties, etc.

I'll fill you in when I hear more.

Dear Dodger,

Actually I just got an email from Two Faces too - they must have been stockpiling! They sent me to the Exit show web page to look at the rooms but I couldn't see anything there. The room shown on the two faces website (small pic on the one and only page) does look very nice and spacious though.

I am sorted re: my room and will be staying at The Bondi, but Two Faces does come in a little cheaper for those of us who prefer to spend their bucks on bucks ;) If you do hear back about amenities etc, do let us know as will be useful for all i think. Cheers

Never felt as if I'd be mugged walking back to Tuis late at night but wish Jomtien would do something about the dogs.

Has anyone stayed at the Bondi Hotel in Jomptien? Im thinking of trying it out on my next trip.
The problem is its always getting in and out of pattaya every night. The website shows nice big rooms for a good price, certainly a lot more room for your baht than say a room in Boyztown.

I stayed in a standard suite recently - 900 baht per night. For this you get a large bedroom plus a sitting room and shower/toilet. Furishings/decor pleasant but basic. There is quite loud music from the bar below until 1 am or so. It never kept me awake even though I went to bed at midnight each night (hence my uncertainty as to when it ended) but it might disturb others - though I guess most board members would be out til at least 2 am anyway!

Owners very pleasant and, of course, no problem bringing back guests - though the boys in the bar do notice!

Two Faces at the old location had rooms with private entrance (by key card and not thru a lobby). Do they still have these rooms or are their rooms now at the new location and if so do they also have private entrances?
