Scottish farmers produce some of the worlds finest ingredients, revered by high class chefs all over the world. However due to the inability of their government to fill in the forms correctly they will suffer financial hardship for the second year running. Is this yet more proof that a single issue party is unfit to govern and the well meaning Nicola Sturgeon is completely out of her depth?

Unsurprisingly, no one from The SNP has been available to put the government's case as to why this negligence has occurred for two years running.

Yes.
And nobody has taken the bait here either.

FarangRuMak took three weeks to write:
" Yes.. And nobody has taken the bait here either."

Bait! Don't even get me started on the fishing industry.

Contrary to the direct lie printed by the Daily Express, the Scottish Government met (albeit at the last moment) the June deadline of well over 90% of CAP payments being made, and so avoided any EU fine.

As did the UK as a whole, with an almost identical percentage of payments having been completed by the deadline.

So, if the Scottish Govt is to be deemed "incompetent" for hitting the same target, what does that make the UK Govt?

It is also worth mentioning that the Scottish Govt last year put in place a loan guarantee scheme so that any Farmers could have 80% of their CAP entitlements paid to them in the form of an guaranteed interest free loan from the banks. Thus, no farmer was left destitute or struggling for cash as the despicable Tory press would have morons who read their daily propaganda believe. I'm unaware if the UK Govt introduced a similar scheme.

In business I often come across farmers - let me tell you they are fucking loaded and can always pull out thousands of pounds in cash from under the bed. The EU (which the vast majority of them voted to leave) literally throws cash at these people to do fuck all in many cases. If they think the UK Govt is going to support them to the same degree then they are going to be extremely disappointed. I have zero sympathy and may hell mend these Brexit voting Unionists

Not as disappointed however as the fishermen will be. Fishing boat owners who are overwhelmingly avid Brexiteers and NO voters, are millionaires to a man who think they are about to become even richer when the UK "takes back control" of fishing waters. These arseholes are in for a big shock when the EU inevitably demands access as part of any trade agreement and the UK Govt caves in. Personally I shall piss myself laughing when it happens.

Contrary to the direct lie printed by the Daily Express ...Ah yes, Dirty Dick. Who is the greater pornographer do you think, Dick or Rupert?

After 3 weeks I at least stirred up the Salmon pool; new bites already.
I'm not an expert but I hear that the Welsh and Cornish farmers are crying into their milk now.
They assumed (wrongly) that the Cornu Copian Brussel's Honey Pot would be continued by London.
By all accounts the pot will be terminated after only 2 years.

The farmers were crying into their milk, wheat, butter and all other produce the day after most of them voted for Brexit, wondering where their subsidies were going to come from. Well, it's like this..........

But Scotland deserves some sympathy surely.
Mother England has decided to leave the party, pliant daughter Cymru is going with her but recalcitrant Alba wants to stay but must leave nonetheless.
No wonder Scotland is pissed off.

As anyone can tell you I rarely involve myself in Scottish matters. However the thought has occurred to me that perhaps the reason the SNP left the farmers hard earned money to the last minute was because they all voted against independence. Of course, I'm sure it was an incompetence rather than malice on Ol' Sturgybum's part. Curious though. Mmm.

Why don't you just get on the blower to Tory Central Office (I'm sure you have a direct number) and just ASK why the CAP payments have been problematic throughout the UK - as I just fucking told you and which you have conveniently ignored

:D
