FYI... The Pinnacle Lumpinee Hotel in Bangkok is being offered at US$25 +tax on Hotels.com
Superior room INCLUDING breakfast for two.
IF you book using the Hotels.com you can get up to an added 10% discount when booked on a mobile device.
OR you can collect nights toward a 10 night average rebate credit towards a future room booking.

I looked at booking for two nights in June...
https://www.hotels.com/ho263625/?MGT=c. ... 5Z-VQJp4w. (https://www.hotels.com/ho263625/?MGT=c..oII3BFxCQ5Y.&SYE=c..aM_c5lgGlzg.&WOD=c..eo7naQTTJG8.&WOE=c..Jb-ZqR0dTeI.&YGF=c..YC9zvtA5ln4.&ZSX=c..Jb-ZqR0dTeI.&pa=c..Jb-ZqR0dTeI.&q-check-in=c..gv3_NlwAIkvs7vRAnzlbWQ..&q-check-out=c..gv3_NlwAIksBp9yx5REUNQ..&q-room-0-adults=c..oII3BFxCQ5Y.&q-room-0-children=c..Bl5c-QXvGIs.&tab=c..0oxtl6uEjo5vz5Z-VQJp4w.).

Total for the two nights = $58.04 less the 10% ...non refundable.
A refundable booking is about $6 additional nightly with breakfast in a Deluxe room.
Very good value IMHO...One of my favorites when staying in Bangkok.

I can't wait to find out who this might be. I also can't believe after all these years TravelerJim is still staying at this hotel. After becoming more mature with my travelling, mainly because I lost a leg (which was careless in the extreme), I prefer a bit more from my hotel. That would be a kitchen or kitchenette. That comes with a higher price tag but that's why I work.

I just remembered why I haven't ever stayed here. Those stairs at the front would do me in.

If in the UK* you can leverage the (equivalent of) $25 rate PLUS the 1/10th FREE night (per night) AS WELL AS a discount - rather than instead of it!

Simply go to TOPCASHBACK.CO.UK before clicking through to Hotels.com for booking.

The former will offer you a cashback rate of typically 6-10% (I have even seen it as high as 15% on occasion) depending on how you book (PC or Mobile device) and whether or not you want the "free night" option. Point is you can still have the "free nights" PLUS a discount.

* I'm assuming Topcasback is a UK only operation but maybe not.

" ... Is it gay friendly? ... "
I never really get folks who ask this question. Pretty well all hotels in Thailand simply don't give a tinkers damn whether one is gay or not ... unless it's name is 'Atlanta'. :dash: What they do give a damn about is what's in your wallet. Pretty well universal, that. (Unless it's name is 'Atlanta')
As far as I'm aware ~ and I stay at the Pinnacle a lot ~ there is no extra fee if you haul a Thai guy up to your room for english lessons. It's cool.

Up until a few years ago the Pinnacle Lumphini was a quite obvious lay-over hotel for gay farang and their nightly chosen. In the morning the breakfast buffet room would be chock-a-block full of lone gay farang, gay farang with boy friend, gay farang with over-nighters. At a guess I would have said 4 or 5 years ago ~ and many years before that ~ the breakfast room would have been a non-scientific 70% 'Obvious-Gay'.
But no more. Now it's 70% or more 'Obvious-Straight': i.e. really bad dressers, hoards of middle aged Chinese, lots of loud younger Russians.

We still like the Pinnacle. The rooms are clean, the price is right, the location is funky, the Metro is a block away, the parking is secure, the restaurant/bar on the roof has decent food, a gentle breeze, and a great view. And it's close to the Canadian Embassy when I pick up my annual income statement.

Hahahaha K Robbie...
I like this hotel as an economical way to enjoy a couple of days in Bangkok.
There is an elevator from the garage area to the first floor...enters in the kitchen and thru the dining room to the reception area.
I do like the breakfast buffet...and the staff are always helpful.

My favorite Bangkok hotel is the Courtyard Marriott. I like staying there for one night at a time. About $80 +/- Senior rate.
As a Gold Marriott Rewards Member I get complimentary access to the Executive Lounge...
with complimentary breakfast, beverages, snacks and happy hour in the evening with assorted food.

When I choose to stay I request an early check-in of 10am and late check out of 4pm. Usually granted :-)
and usually with an upgraded large corner room.

I do wonder where all the gays gone Boyz Boyz Boyz that used to be exclusively gay now packed with straight couples and women,Same as for the Ambiance hotel in Pataya, far less clients at the boys bar on Bangkok,Pattaya and Phuket, the gay beach in Patong was gone ...
Are we the gays extinct species?

TravelerJim and his right-wing tosh may well be on the road to extinction, but no ... in the actual real world it's all about demographics my man, demographics.
Bit of a drama queen there BOY69, aren't we?. Try a lie down.

Your point is well taken. As a very long term expat living in L.O.S. I am keenly aware that Thailand today is a far cry from the gay meca I knew years ago. I have witnessed the death of Sunee Plaza, the near death of the gay scene in Chiang Mai, Boystown is but a remnant of what it was and Soi twilight is a far cry from its past as well as working boys that were exclusively Thai now being replaced with economic refugees from Cambodia and Vietnam to deny this is to be in denial, there is no reason to expect this trend to change be it the rise of dating apps, an improving economy, or a change in the current political climate.

Good to see that Traveller Jim has posted his travel plans.
A gentleman of the 1st degree is he.
Re Hotels:
It's about business.
If you can pay and if you're "low key"you can bring Siamese Twins to your room in most places in Thailand provided their combined age is 36 minimum.
Also there are short time rooms all over Thailand (where you park you car behind a curtain) to facilitate hanky- panky.
But DON'T walk from the beach through Pattaya, Jomtien Complex or hotel lobby 90% naked.

I never particularly liked hanky-panky.

I always preferred a bit of slap & tickle or a good old fashioned session of how's-your-father

Unsurprisingly, given the number of low-rent acquaintances I have (even outside this board :D) - I believe I can trump that:

1. I know someone who, for the lack of any reasonable lubricant (champagne excluded), delicately coated the boy's orifice with......ChapStick. I believe it was raspberry.

2. I know a different person who, for the lack of a condom, inserted his todger in a discarded Twix wrapper before banging away

You see Latinpoxx this just proves you're a cheap charlie.

Twix is normally a twin bar confection (hence the fucking name) and consequently the wrapper is about 2.5 inches wide.

I've no idea where you are buying your sub-standard single Twix - maybe was it served to you as dinner on China Southern?

...sweety darling...forgive the delayed response..know you've been watching the screen breathlessly waiting for a reply...but for someone with a dick as thick as a thai coke can and a little longer...a twix wrapper just wouldn't do it...
...and now maybe...just maybe u realise why quite a few MBs cant go the full distance with me...

Your latest fantasy - of having a cock the same size as a can of coke - is yet more delusion, and I was thinking that if it were true you might topple over in the event of a viagra-assisted erection.

Then I remembered that someone described you as being incredibly short, fat, and squat so I guess your low centre of gravity keeps you stable (physically at least)

Of course, the coke can which you allege your cock resembles could be one of those really mini-sized ones I hear they serve on low-class airlines.
