Standard type rooms, nothing fancy. No joiners fees. Run by Aussies, I believe. Friendly and helpful, the location is good. A long walk or short tuk tuk to Night Bazaar.

I have stayed at PJ's Guesthouse and it is wonderful. The guys that run it are gay and the staff is excellent. It is clean, a great breakfast, good hosts and a convenient location. The link for it is above. You won't be disappointed in them.

YES..."PJ's Place"...a gay owned guesthouse in ChiangMai is wonderful.

My bf and I visited ChiangMai for our first time for 5 days in mid-May. The hospitality, guesthouse accommodations, landscaped setting, and breakfast cooked to order each morning was superb.

The hosts are helpful and great guys! They met us at the airport and returned us to the airport. They gave us great ideas and information about the gay scene and clubs in ChiangMai as well as the tourist spots to see and enjoy.

We both look forward to returning again to visit ChiangMai and staying at PJ's Place.

The rate was most affordable...even for a "budget traveler" like me :-)

I highly recommend it to you.

I'd say Nice but not 'very nice'.
Stayed there a couple of years ago, after looking at far too many other gay friendly guest houses. It's a little out of the way, and it's not always easy to get hold of a Tuk Tuk. But their rooms were by far the cleanest, brightest, and in my opinion, the best value. The staff were very friendly and helpful, although my Thai friend (who checked in with me) was very upset when the night receptionist wanted to keep his ID card.

http://pjs-place.com/ - for some reason travellerJim's link did not work from my computer.

Is Chiang the most mis-spelt word in literature about Thailand? I spell it Chaing as often as not and have to correct that.
