I have been here a few times and I enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere....always packed for dinner with hiso Thais....this is in the Sathorn area and a bit off the beaten track, it is part of the Goethe Institute.
I am certain that no homophobic SS officer is not involved in anyway with this restaurant.

Also been a few times and happily endorse MFAS' opinion. Great large sausages (and other delights) and excellent German beer on tap. It is on what is called Soi Goethe off the left side of Sathorn Soi 1 when you enter from Sathorn (i,e. other side from Babylon). Parking usually available when I've been there.

Heard a rumour that von Stauffenberg's grandson had been seen there - but then he was one of us!!!

Sad to say, when I visited the German restaurant, they had foolishly employed Ober British Nationalist Arsenal as the manager:

And equally unfortunately they've got Scottish Guy running the kitchen.

Maybe if I lived in Thailand I would be inclined to stray and sample european food...but as Im there udully for not more than 10 days its Thai food all the way. Last thing I crave is heavy German food in a tropical country. Not that Im knocking German food, had my fair share in Germany and it was good....but in Lord's name why bother in thailand.

Some of us do indeed live here year round and a bit of.variety is always welcome. If I was a short-term visitor it would be Thai food all the time - apart from breakfasts!

I generally have two meals a day when in Thailand and usually one is western and one Thai.
