Has anyone been there recently ? Is it safe to go ?

Thai Airways is doing a very tempting offer from Bangkok : Baht 6,100 plus tax for a return ticket.

I have always wanted to. My contacts tell me there is quite a fun gay network there. How often do they fly etc? Thats a great price.
