Hello Sawatdee Friends...

First, please allow me say I am not an expert on finding discounts from Europe to Bangkok...But I'll try to share with you several ideas which might save you some money on British Airways; make good 150% use of any Diners Club rewards Points you may have in your account; and more:

British Airways has their Frequent Flyer Club and it is called the Executive Club. A couple of promotions are underway which may benefit you or want you to consider joining the British Airways Executive Club.

DINERS CLUB Card promotion - Currently - through August 31, 2006 - if you have earned Diners Club Points in the Diners Club program you can convert your Diners Club Points and get a 50% bonus in points/miles in the British Airways Executive Club.

Plan your summer travel now with British Airways - convert Club Rewards┬о Points for 50% more BA Miles.

Your Club Rewards points will go farther when you convert them to BA Miles between May 1 and August 31, 2006. For example, for just 37,000 Club Rewards points, you'll receive over 55,000 BA Miles . . . enough to fly round-trip in World Traveller SM economy class from the US to London or other select European cities*.

I checked the London to Bangkok route on BA : The miles needed for a free trip return...and on BA is 80,000 miles (or 55,000 miles and 195 British pounds)....for a Economy seat.

From the USA to Bangkok, on One World partner airline to BA - the Economy seat is 60,000 miles return or just 90,000 miles return for a Business Class seat.

A favorite website message board I read and recommend to others is www.flyertalk.com (http://www.flyertalk.com) .
A discussion about British Airways (BA) is ongoing and they are saying there are special Travel Store Discounts for BA flights (as promotional discounts from BA) available by using a link:

Hope this information is helpful to Sawatdee Friends who may have an interest in flying BA.

Personally, I have nearly 33,000 points in the Diners Club account and am seriously considering converting them to BA miles points in BA's Executive Club frequent flyer program...I would then have a total of approx. 50,000 miles in BA's program...a good start and almost a free return/roundtrip ticket from the USA to Bangkok :-)

Also, in BA's mileage awards, you can book a ONE WAY award - free ticket on BA flights..by just using 50% of the usual return/rountrip mileage required. That is very beneficial and allows one to have such a ONE WAY ticket possibility in reserve to use when needed...i.e. 30,000 miles for a ONE WAY ticket to USA from BKK....etc..NO need to use 60,000 miles!

Use the link in the Diners Club / BA promotion to open an account with BA...I used it and now have my account now open and ready to receive my Diners Club points converted to BA miles :-)
