Thats about you need to know as that's about all there still I believe, well when it comes to bars, there's plenty of action online on the Apps and a little at the gay beach(es), but that's just mainly the bar boys searching for friends and customers during the day more until the bars open again just. Saying that Bali is still rocking and loads of (free) action so I'm sure you'll not go without :-)

Hi,
Agree with Nirish guy. Maxwell is a largest bar on Dyana Pura with often the youngest crowd, Bali Joe has the best cabaret and staff with a lively crowd, it gets rammed from midnight. Next door F bar has just reopened and it has great decor but is finding its feet and only gets busy later and at weekends. The last bar is Bottom's Up and popular with Australian lesbians, which makes it unpopular with everyone else.
There are a few other beach bars for daytime beers and relaxation. At double six beach you have Putra's opposite Seaside Restaurant, Putra was a larger than life chap but he did a runner recently so the bar is run his ex staff, nice bunch but straight, anyway it's a popular haunt for Bali MBs especially around sunset. Cantina is on Batu Beliq beach just up from the W hotel and has beach loungers and serves decent food etc. Quite popular with expats and boys.
Of the apps, Grindr is busy, Romeo less so, Hornet and Jack'd are good too.
Have fun...

Thank you a lot paulo15,

at siamroads.com we are preparing "to open" Bali as a new destination, so I'm looking for actual information for interview with boys: to filter guys who just pretends to be gay or just pretends to be guide :)

PS, I should have mentioned that there are several gay spas and massage places. Spa is optimistic really as only Coco Spa could really be described as such and they charge a high rate.
Of the others, Banana Spa in Jl Drupadi which is close to the Harris hotel and the clubs is quite pricy and I'm told not such great massage. Adam's Apple is in Batu Beliq next to a Circle K, quite nice place and good prices but the masseurs can be pushy for extras. The best in my experience is Teman Spa in Jalan Mertanandi close to Sunset Point. Nice facilities and good massage at a reasonable price. 6 masseurs to chose from all competent. There are a couple of other places but I have no experience of them.
There are also quite few gay hotels/guesthouses in southern Bali.
Cheers

I can attest to that. Useless massage and very unsatisfying sex. And only a couple of guys to choose from.

I quite like the kind of scene where there are any number of exceptionally cute lads prepared to go with me. Pattaya ticks the boxes & one is of course guaranteed to find someone.

How does Bali compare for choice and availability ? For, say a farang in his late 40s, or beyond.

Are you kidding? You are the Holy Grail, kind, sweet, not too energetic (I'm guessing) rich enough to drop into Bali... your fan base will be enormous ;-)
Cheers

I visited Elegantz Men's Spa & Sauna Bali on a Sun evening. The spa is small, simple and basic. There are only two types of massages and three kinds of body scrubs. The reception spoke very good English and tried to sell me the body-to-body massage, which is twice the price of the Balinese massage, but he didn't insist too much. The massage was adequate, a bit uneventful. The avocado body scrub was very interesting. The therapist massaged the avocado till it dried up, and the remaining powder peeled my skin gently, leaving it soft like silk. No tipping hustle. Nice experience.

Indonesia Moves Ahead with Banning 80+ Gay Apps and Websites

Everything gay, porn, sex oriented, ... is blocked for quite a while already.
We all know how to bypass that.....vpn connections so they don't see you are based in Indonesia.
Let's see what this brings, but solutions will be easily found I think.

Hi,
Well sitting here on 16th September I can assure everyone whose knickers are already twitching over this 'ban' that using wifi from Telkomsel (Indonesia's state run telecoms provider) Grindr is most certainly not blocked, nor are Jack'd, Hornet, Romeo, Blued, Scruff, Surge, Daddyhunt, Tinder, Tumblr, Hanky.
The situation is much the same using the same company's 3G.
If and when they do impose a ban (along with alcohol no doubt) a simple VPN will solve the problem, much as it does in much of the Middle East.
Cheers
