I'm curious, has anyone tried these guys?

http://www.passiondelivery.com/

I guess for you guys in places like Bangkok and Pattaya, probably not too big of a deal, because you can most likely get whatever you need there. However, for guys like me, some things simply aren't available.

This service could come in handy for special occasions. Get some lobster, scallops, good cheese, wagu beef, lamb, or whatever. That type of thing simply doesn't exist here. Says they pack everything in a foam box with dry ice, so should be nice and fresh when it arrives.

Anyone ever use them? Any feedback?

Too expensive in my opinion. Might as well eat out in a restaurant. Imported beef is just too expensive , and the owner tries to make a profit on something you can buy at Foodland or Makro.

Yeah, bit on the expensive side. I'll only use it for special occasions, not every day cooking.

Might as well eat out in a restaurant.

But one of my most favorite things to do is cook dinner with someone I love. :)

Yep, like I said in the OP, if you're somewhere like Bangkok or Pattaya, this is probably quite useless as you can probably get everything locally. However, if you're up here, things like lobster, scallops and kobe beef simply are not available, or at least not that I've ever seen.

But you wouldn't be a special occassion. You'd be more of a, "oh geez, I hope this guy doesn't hang around too long" type of occassion.

Most definilely. :) Share some recipes too, although I suspect most forum members eat out.

Too bad I didn't take a photo of the spicy shrimp capellini I made a couple nights ago. Fuck me, was it ever good. Could do without so much spice, but this is Thailand, so everything needs a decent kick to it.

How about some freshly made Lao papaya salad to go with grilled country chicken?
Don't forget the sticky rice and a bottle of Lao rice whiskey.

Having it done for you in a restaurant is a kinky bonus - but I'm happy enough at home pulling my own pork

Scottish: An Amtrak train in America and a station wagon in Sydney rank as my two most exotic places to have 'done' it. But a restaurant. Not yet. However I have 'done it on 6 continents so I think that's impressive. Only the two poles to go.
