Why farangs don't visit

massage parlors as often as g-go bars. Most customers at massage parlors are Thais and Asians. Sometimes there is one or two farangs, but most of the time there is none.

At massage parplors, customers can still view the boys clearly. The boys do not wear underwear nor show their cocks explicitly, but they wear a towel or a pair of shorts/trousers with no shirt. You can still see their bodies and ask the mamason how big their cocks are and whether they are top, bottom or versatile. The mamason usually gives accurate info. Besides, the massage and sex is conveniently done on spot i.e. you don't have to take the boy to your hotel where there may be a problem in bringing in joiners.

At gogo bar, you pay an off fee ( 300 - 500 baht ) to the bar plus tip to the boy. At massage parlor, you pay 500 - 700 baht for a massage service plus tip to the boy. But unlike the gogo bar's off fee, the massge service includes a 60 - 90 minutes massage with your totally naked masseur, use of room for massage and sex, lube and condoms, showers before and after the massage ( at some places, the boy even takes a shower with you), and free use of sauna/steamroom if available.

So, why massage parlors are not popoular for farangs ?

Possible reasons I can think of :

At massage parlor,
1. you cannot see the boy's cock before offing him
2. no fuck shows and any other shows.
3. massage fee is a little more expensive than gogo bar's off fee
4. the idea of having to take a shower twice within 2 hours puts some people off
5. the massage parlor which is nicely set up and decorated is not as sleazy as the gogo bar
6. No loud music
7. the boy cannot stay overnight with you.
8. after having sex, you would rather stay in bed than have to get up and leave

Well, I think you cannot always assume full on sex with masseurs. Not all are into that, and in that, they are not required to be.
Also, I think many farangs are looking for an illusion of dating and romance. Not possible to hold such an illusion in a massage setting.
Also, if on holiday, massage is usually a daytime activity. Many farang quite old, and too pooped to go out that night. So they would rather save it up and enjoy the nightlife.

I have visited the Massage places and I think most guys do not frequent them for many reasons.

A sauna room does not give you the same safe feeling that you can get from your own hotel room.

In a massage setting you feel as if you are forced to make a selection from the guys being offered as they stand, pose, smile and flex their muscles.

In a massage place, the establishment sets the rules and you follow, in other settings you set the tone and make the rules and have greater control.

You also do not have the same feeling of companionship with a massage guy because he is on the Job and at his place of work from start and finish.

Face it... When it comes to Thai/Visitor relations, it is hard to find seduction and the excitement associated with it. By going out on the town, meeting the guys of the bars, the guys of the night... it can feel as if your a part of the night and fun and not simply a customer of it.

Maybe because the majority of farangs still fancy themselves as out on a "date" when they off a boy. Going to a massage parlor is too much like a brothel to them...shatters the illusion.

I have been to many massage places, and in my experience the usual expectation is that the guy gets nude, massages your back for half an hour, then you turn over, and sooner or later begins the nipple tweaking, asshole rubbing, and mechanical hand job. Many of the Farang customers of the massage venues are expats living in Thailand with Thai BF"s. Some are there on the sly, others have BF's who either tolerate a little on the side or just allow it. Most are in don't tell, don't ask relationships.

Recent experience of the two places actually in Boys Town were very good. Boyz Sauna Gym used a room in the Ambiance Hotel so the surroundings were excellent. Only one masseur was on duty though so no choice. But he was superb and I have no complaints especially as we were in the room for an hour and a half even though I only paid for one hour. Price for an oil massage was 350 baht with the tip up to you.

On the other side of the Soi masseurs were sitting outside Body Club and as one seemed rather cute I went in. Very nice place but a small cubicle so rather cramped. Same price as Boyz Sauna Gym with a minimum recommened "tip" of 400 baht though he'll expect more than that if you had full sex.

Narcissus Massage in Soi Pattayaland 1 really should do something about the smell of mildew in the showers and the place is a bit tatty. Even the towels smelt of mildew so you actually come out needing another shower. Some nice boys though many of whom can be seen sitting outside a lot of the time.

If you're at the North end of Pattaya try "Nobody" which has been there for years and was the first place I ever went to before the others opened. You might have to do a bit more work to get full sex though but the guys will usually oblige.

Unlike all gogo bars where sex is the main attraction, not all the massage places emphasis on "massage & sex". You must check before you go to avoid dissapointment. Besides, the ones that do "massage & sex" may also operate differently. Some allow hard sex, some allow only soft. Just check before you go if you haven't been there before.

At many places such as Hero, Albury, Aqua, Body Club you watch the masseurs doing their things from a distance. You can sit, have a drink ( 60 baht roughly ) and look at the masseurs as long as you want. The mamason will come round to ask you if you need info of any particular masseurs. Some mamasons come round often, some don't. But some places like KY (?) arrange their masseurs to form a semi circle in front of you for you to choose. Again, it is good to check how it operates before you go if you haven't been before. It's not like any gogo bars where you can simply walk in and know what to expect.

I can understand when some of you assume that you might be under pressure to choose a masseur. I used to assume the same before I ventured into this venue. But in reality and in my experience, if you want to leave just leave. I have seen several people leave without buying anything, and no one says anything. I myself left twice without having a massage. It is known that some masseurs don't come to work every day and some are not there because they have already been taken, so when I decided to leave I just told the mamason "I don't fancy anyone today. I will be back later", then paid the bill and left. At some very busy places like Hero, you can even walk out without having to say anything.

When you choose your masseur, just tell the mamason clearly that you want to fuck or to be fucked or into oral, and tell the mamason to ask your masseur whether he is ok to perform it today. The mamasons have already been asked this type of questions hundreds of times for years, so they are comfortable with it. I always ask and hence always get full massage and full sex.

If you are a newbie and want to try, I recommend Hero. It is popular and friendly. Hero, Albury and Bananna are all in the same general location. Take the sky train and get off at NANA. I do not recall the exit number but it's on the left facing the direction of the train. That should put you right at soi 11.

There are moto-cy taxi, at the entrance to the soi but you can also walk but one side of the street is choked with food vendors. You can easly visit one and move on to the next if you don't find something you want.

Hero has an advantage of most rooms have ensuit showers. Albury is posh and bannana is at the bottom, no pun intended, but some find better boys.

I have been to Body Club once, the boys were pleasant looking, same as all the other massage places I have been to. But the massage at Body Club was lousy, this boy basically just gave me a oil rub, not really a massage, he keeps putting on more oil on me, without using any force on his fingers. and of course he kept playing with my penis and nipples, as if these were the focus of the massage.
