An incident in the Australian version of Big Brother, in which a female contestant was assaulted by two male contestants, has outraged campaigners against sexual violence and led to calls for the programme to be banned. According to the Guardian, 'One of the men reportedly held the young woman down while the other rubbed his crotch in her face.' The Australian Prime Minister's reaction? 'Mr Howard said it was a question of taste.'

I stopped watching the UK version halfway through the series two years back and have not bothered again since. There was an incident then that involved several of the housemates almost coming to blows and definitely involving much pushing and shoving and shouting in each others face. The entire event was, if not stage managed by programme makers, heavily encouraged to happen by showing two contestants what was being said about them by other housemates and then plying the whole lot with copious amounts of booze. One woman was evicted after being taken away for a short time to speak with a psychologist.

The show has deteriorated from what was once a mildly interesting soap opera seeing how different people interact in a closed environment to what has become a freak show for media wannabees.

and he look likes someone who would know "taste" when he saw it !

Was it this unbelievably beautiful and hunky gay housemate from the Aussie BB ?..he's a real doll and is a cowboy /farmer ( talk about Brokeback Mountain !)..I'd like a taste of him.
