PS: there are also lots of countries where visas are required for Thai's, but they are given out like candy as a mere formality. Pay your fee, get visa. Like India, China, and Myanmar.

No trouble for Thai to enter Hong Kong
Also, Visa on arrival is issued at the border in China, but I'm only sure about Shenzhen entry.

Have just been in Laos. My thaib/f had to have visa on arrival, but he did not pay the fee, as I did as farang ( 30$)but he had to feel out the paper.

That's because a thai national can visit Laos without a visa, of course he should fill in his arrival/departure card, it's the same for Lao people going into Thailand. You as a farang, need a visa though hence the 30 US fee. Good to know, since last july they issue 30 days on arrival at the border at Nong Khai, which used to be only 14 days, therefore there's no need to get a visa prior to arrival.

I just took my boy special to Hong Kong. This was his first international flight. He had no problems whatsoever entering Hong Kong. He really enjoyed the trip and I really enjoyed him!

Also nice is to know for which countries Thais do not need a visa at all; these are all the ASEAN countries: The Philiipines, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and finally Cambodja. They do need a passport though.
