Does anyone know at about what time in the evening do they stop chucking water?

Locals told me what traditionally waterfights have to stop after sunset, but almost no one tourist knows that tradition :)

Songkran was over on the 15th, or at least up here. Is it still going on in Pattaya?

As per my experience Songkran is going in PTT 13-15 + Sat-Sun nearest next weekend

Songkran (or similar) in Pattaya is on the 19th (Tuesday). Always has been.
Over the years, the water throwing slowly builds up from the 13th to climax on the 19th.
As far as I remember it officially ends at 18:00.

Personally, I somewhat wish Songkran lasted about 6 months of the year. I have to admit, while walking the streets when it's +42C out, I'm quite thrilled to have someone throw a little water on me. :)

Please post GPS coordinates and Christian and Smiles will be on their way.

555, I think I may have already given it to them when Christian requested a photo of the knob on my washing machine. :)

Anyway, I think next year for Songkran I may have to head to Laos, and go hang out in the Mekong. This looks fun.

What the hell, if you're going to play water, might as well do it right.

Yeah, you are right, I'm wrong: April 19 is the end of Songkran celebration in Pattaya.

The big water day is the 19th in Pattaya and usually ends at sunset although one year I got doused while walking to dinner. The water party moves to Sattahip on the 20th. My boyfriend's brother celebrates Songkran in the village on the 13-15th,then goes to Bang Saen, then Pattaya and finally Sattahip.
